It does what a true sports car should do, performs well and helps drivers maintain control even when they may not know how to drive a sports car fast safely. It takes curves at speeds I would never try in other cars I have owned over the years.
Recently purchased a 2006 Porsche 911 S Cabriolet with 30,000 miles through CarMax. Have had for over 1 month and am 100% satisfied. Car is very well built so being 6+ years old everything works as expected. Car has top notch performance in both acceleration, braking and cornering. You will only test the limits of this car on a track. Beautiful car to see and drive. Wife took it out for a day shopping. She is not a car girl but absolutely loved this car. Fully automatic top goes up or down in 15 sec. Front trunk is easily large enough to handle a large suitcase plus additional hand bags. Front seats and driving position very comfortable. Nav system and cockpit display takes a little to get used to but is very functional with experience. Terrific German built and designed true sports car that is more comfortable doing 80 mph than most cars are at 20 mph. Well worth the money.
I have owned two Porsche 911 [a 1996 and a 1999] and will buy another within a year. I have two Mercedes in my garage ... but one of them will be on my driveway to make room for my next 911. This car caused me to constantly make excuses for a drive to the "store" and I always chose one at least 20 miles from home. It has rock solid handling at low and high speeds. Have driven mine well over 100 mph many times. Never felt nervious or scared ... but my heart rate always increased rapidly! I could never explain in words what it feels like to drive a Porsche 911. You just have to drive one yourself. You know that you want to!
