Customer Review Summary for Porsche Boxster
Most Fun Since I Was Twenty
2010 Porsche BoxsterDale Roberts - Leesburg, VA09/03/2016
It's the most engaging, best performing car I've ever driven. I get a lot of "I wish that was my car" looks. Most of all it's just a thrill to drive such a well engineered machine. This is a car meant to drive. You can push the limits because it better than you are.
2006 Porsche Boxster
2006 Porsche BoxsterClark Addison - San Diego, CA06/02/2009
I'm no stranger to Boxsters, having owned a 1999 model for ten years. That one was great; this one is better. In 2005 Porsche totally redesigned the Boxster, giving it a new model designation, 987. Although it looks almost the same, the factory claims it's 80% new. This one feels tighter, more solid, and it's got 20% more German horses behind my back. Also the exhaust note is more in keeping with Porsche. It handles like it was on rails.
The interior, which had been cheap and plasticky for a $40K car, has been completely redesigned. The new short shifter feels like it's anchored in butter. Great car.
Very nice car, but not recommended for everyday use. Driver and the passenger has a snug fit, trunk space is very limited and under Houstons hot summer it will wear down the top very fast. Its a car to keep under cover and fun to drive on the weekends. Its a best two-seater sports car around.
