If you are into electronic gadgets and fancy features, go buy a BMW or a Mercedes. If you are into an absolutely thrilling ride, a ridiculous amount of power, and amazing handling, then the Porsche Boxster S is the way to go. The Porsche Boxster S offers all of these in a beautiful package that will be sure to turn heads wherever you go, and it is amazingly easy to drive to boot. I previously owned a 2004 Nissan 350Z Touring and a 2008 Audi TT 3.2 Quattro and the Porsche Boxster S blows both of those cars away. The Audi had a bunch of great gadgets and offered a much more comfortable ride, and the 3.5-liter V6 in the 350Z offered a much better torque band, but overall the Boxster S offers a much more exhilirating ride. On the down side, the stereo is unimpressive (even with the Bose package) and I can't fit my golf clubs anywhere except the passenger seat...
Other than pricey parts at times, this is almost a perfect car. Porsche has a good following of fans on the internet, so i can almost get answer to any problems with this car. I had many porsches in the past, including 928...etc. this car actually drive the best, but may not be the most powerful one. With five speed and know how to work the stick, you can actually get about 27 mpg on this little speedster. Make sure you check the underbody impact lining on this car, if you see any impact damage, go to the next one because the plastic under cover panels are expensive and after markert parts are hard to come by. buy a boxster s if you want more power
It's beautiful, has two trunks when other roadsters have one with little space. Oil changes at 10k miles. Good speed and incredible cornering; a pleasure to drive
The Porsche Boxster is a convertible that serves as Porsche's entry-level luxury roadster. Porsche worked to make each consecutive Boxster model year more appealing than the last. Though even its oldest models may be a bit pricy, the feature-rich Porsche Boxster is a compelling option for anyone looking to buy a used convertible.
It's no surprise that the Porsche Boxster is a delight to drive. Comfort and features have remained at the heart of the Porsche Boxster's priorities throughout the years. Few other vehicles are able to drive as smoothly as the Boxster, even on older roads. Its superior handling and responsive steering keep the Boxster fun on tight turns. Porsche built each iteration of the Boxster with powerful engines, and they really come in handy for long stretches of road that give you a chance to cruise with the hood down.
The Porsche Boxster is one of the first entry-level luxury convertibles. It's one of the more affordable Porsche vehicles too, and it balances style and performance well. The value it brings to the table is why the car became extremely successful on the road and in the hands of consumers. Though older models may require more maintenance, used Boxsters also cost roughly the same amount as a newly-released economy car.
This early success has caused competition to increase in the entry-level luxury car segment. As a result, Porsche regularly tweaks the Boxster to better compete with many of its rivals like the Mazda Miata or the Chevrolet Corvette. This means that discrepancies between model years matter a bit more for the Boxster than other car brands; more modern model years are more likely to have the most cutting-edge technology.
The two-seat Porsche Boxster has been tweaked often to become more compatible with newer cabin technology and adopt modern design trends. All Boxster models are equipped with rear-wheel drive by design. The Boxster only has three trim levels, including:
Throughout its production, the Porsche Boxster was frequently updated to have more powerful engines in all iterations of the vehicle.
In earlier years, a five-speed manual transmission was standard for the Boxster. A five-speed automatic transmission was optional with a configuration to shift gears manually as well.
The Porsche Boxster is an angular and stylish convertible. Its many features and accessories make it unique, and recent iterations of the vehicle have a crisp style.
