Unexpected GREAT experience

I never in a million years thought I would buy a porsche, let alone buinh it from a Carmax. I took the porsche to a Porsche dealership before my 7 day return policy expired. It was in EXCELLENT condition. There was an undercover panel missing, which when I informed Carmax, they ordered it and replaced it with no issues. I LOVE my Porsche....I just have to be makes me want to speed ALL OF THE TIME...lollllll

Love my Cayman

If you want a Porsche, the Cayman is an ideal choice. Closer to the 911 than the Boxster (even though it is built on the Boxster frame), the Cayman is a real sports car. You can't beat the acceleration, the feel and handling, and that awesome Porsche engine rumble. And when people see the car, they more often than not use the word "sexy" to describe its delicious curves and sleek styling. Because it is mid-engine, it offers both rear trunk space and front "frunk" space. Groceries, gym bag, and car accessories are no problem. Its interior is small, but there's nothing like the feeling of being "hugged" by your own Porsche while cruising through town or down the highway. Yes - maintenance is expensive. But it's just part of owning such an amazing car. When well cared for, a Porsche Cayman shouldn't need any more maintenance than the Porsche maintenance schedule dictates: Every 7500, 15000, 30000, 60000 Miles. For me, that works out to about once a year. If you've ever dreamed of owning a Porsche, I highly recommend a Porsche Cayman.

ultimate driving experience for manual drivers

This car is for people who enjoy a good sports ride, don't commute far distances and don't sit in traffic. City friendly ride in comparison to Carrera 911 with an exhilarating pull in the back. The engine in the middle of the car brings the centrifugal force in the curves to the minimum. The car feels like it is glued to the road. Great breaks. Money I spend on gas for this car goes under "entertainment". I got my Cayman for an affordable price because of higher demand on automatic. American population drives mostly automatic for a few very good reasons: long distances and traffic plus not too many curvy roads in LA where I live. Also, most people opt for a convertible which is not my preference so I got a hard top.
