Beautiful automobile and exactly what you would expect. The car is not blazing fast off the line, however you know that buying a 2.7 liter. Once up to speed, it just keeps going and going. It cruises at 80mph at @ 2,900 rpm's. The sound is terrific also.
Interior finish is very well done and includes the Bose sound system.

This car is for people who enjoy a good sports ride, don't commute far distances and don't sit in traffic.
City friendly ride in comparison to Carrera 911 with an exhilarating pull in the back.
The engine in the middle of the car brings the centrifugal force in the curves to the minimum. The car feels like it is glued to the road. Great breaks. Money I spend on gas for this car goes under "entertainment".
I got my Cayman for an affordable price because of higher demand on automatic. American population drives mostly automatic for a few very good reasons: long distances and traffic plus not too many curvy roads in LA where I live. Also, most people opt for a convertible which is not my preference so I got a hard top.

I LOVE this car! I have driven other Porsches, including the boxster which is the other midengine model, and this Cayman S rocks! Cayman S outperforms all the other models, in my opinion, except for the 911 turbo models (where power prevails over handling).
The Cayman S has good head room and a modern style dash (vs. the Carrera models that still use a rectangle a/c vent system). I would definitely recommend this car for the 2 seater enthusiast! And yes, like the other reviewers said, there is a premium to owning one of these (routine services and repairs may cost a lot higher than Japanese 2 seaters), but if you can swing it then you will be greatly rewarded!
