I LOVE this car! I have driven other Porsches, including the boxster which is the other midengine model, and this Cayman S rocks! Cayman S outperforms all the other models, in my opinion, except for the 911 turbo models (where power prevails over handling).
The Cayman S has good head room and a modern style dash (vs. the Carrera models that still use a rectangle a/c vent system). I would definitely recommend this car for the 2 seater enthusiast! And yes, like the other reviewers said, there is a premium to owning one of these (routine services and repairs may cost a lot higher than Japanese 2 seaters), but if you can swing it then you will be greatly rewarded!
Love this car!

Ok, this is a great SECOND car - I have a run of the mill, older SUV that I need for transport to work in winter weather. I got the Porsche as a sporty second car. It is great fun to drive a couple of times per week; terrific speed and handling - fun on the highway.
Cargo space is limited so this can only handle enough luggage for long weekend trips for 2 people. Love the unique engineering an styling of this car! Dealer maint is quite costly, but if you can find a good independent mechanic that works on Porsches, it's not too bad.

I enjoy the power and speed of the car to maneuver around slower traffic and the ability to merge easily on to the interstate. Since this is a 2009 it doesn't have the bells and whistles with bluetooth connectivity. I recently have looked at options to upgrade sound system to add bluetooth. There are after market products which are cheaper and Porsche can put in the newer bells and whistles as well at a higher price.
