Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.438 reviews) I have enjoyed this car so far. There are a few drawbacks. The ride is quite jarring on rough roads or over potholes. Handling is good but not exceptional. The biggest reason I bought the car is because I got a lot of features for the money. I had considered buying a Honda Accord or Civic. Of course, Hondas have a better reputation than GM cars. Many of my friends told me that a Honda was a better choice. However, when I looked a used Hondas, the price for a 4Cyl Honda Civic with a mid-level trim and year models older was quite a bit more. The demand for Hondas is higher. However, for the same money, I got a 251HP 6Cyl car with sunroof, leather, heated seats, remote start and more. Also NorhtStar. Beats a Civic in features and a V6 used Accord at the lowest trim level is $4000 more. 4Cyl Honda Accords are boring. Before I bought the car, I noticed that is almost the exact same care as a Chevrolet Malibu LTZ. The essential specifications and options are identical. The have the same engine, options and share many of the same parts except for the trim items. The car has a 5yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty that can be honored at any Chevy dealer. The Malibu is tuned for a softer ride. Almost every thing else is the same. However, you will pay more for the simular Chevy because it is not a discontinued model. Both models were built in the same assembly plant in Kansas City, Missouri. I drove some used Hondas. They are more refined, but you pay a lot for the refinement. Also, they are too common for me. I wanted to be different. This car fits my needs and wants. I wanted a lot of features on a budget. I bought the extended warranty. I have not owned the car long enough to comment on long-term relilablity. However, most newer American cars buit in past 3 to 4 years are somewhat better than their predessors. Don't expect high resale value. If you buy this one, you will want to keep util the wheels fall off, so make sure you are satified. The wheels may fall off faster than a Honda.

So Glad I went to Carmax

I had been to several dealers in the area and couldn't find a car that I liked in the price range that I needed. When I first drove my Aura I fell in love with it. It has a comfortable ride, it is very stylish and it's a good sound car. It has lots of extras on it although I really wanted a car with a sunroof in it, I wouldn't change it for anything. I love it!!!!!

Shop around other places

They don't make them anymore which doesn't make it a bad car, but small issues arise often, and what they sale you on when purchasing is the "maxcare" warranty. Sadly, it will hardly cover anything if your entire engine hasn't failed or transmission hasn't gone out.
