This is my second ION 3 Coupe. The first was destroyed in a near head-on collision. When the operator of the tow yard saw the damage, and learned I had just been in the car, he remarked "When I see damage like this, the driver doesn't walk away", but I and my wife did, because this is a tough little car.
Because Saturn doesn't make automobiles anymore, I searched for a different car, all the while missing my ION coupe. Then my wife located one in a neighboring state. The car was two years younger, and had half the miles of my old coupe.
A test drive and some signed documents, and it was mine.
The ION coupe has a lower roof line than the sedan, usually a spoiler on the back, and mine is a 5 speed.
The power from the 2.6 litre engine is suprising when meshed with the 5 speed transmission. Even with four adults in the seats, the pickup is quick and steady. The addition of a cruise control on a manual transmission makes highway driving much more relaxed.
The CD/MP3 player has good sound and an aux input jack for my iPod or portable XM radio.
Even though I still miss my former coupe, the sunroof and leather seats make up for pain. I am very glad my wife found this ION coupe and I plan on driving it for years to come.
Great car for the price and options!

As long as you service the car appropriately, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the exception of the key recall. This was the third saturn I had and it was dependable and held its outside appearance well. There were no problems except for the recall.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
