I got the car in February, it was not cleaned out and had a cigarette smell in it that took 5mths to get out. 7 mths after I got the car the starter went out, the left control arm needed to be replace. Now 1 year later after purchase I need new struts and possible suspension.... wish I would've waited...
2004 Saturn Iononyxchicago - TX06/15/2007
I loved my ION at first but it was terrible in handeling itself in slusshy conditions. It almost caused me a terrible accident. And it didn't have such good controll over itself at 5miles while stopping at a stop sign it slid right into the curb on a slusshy day, I didn't feel safe. I had other older model saturns and never had this problem with them. A friend of mine had the same problem comming out of a paking lot when the street was wet,his front arm on the car broke and at 5miles and hour. Beautiful car but I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend odler models aand the vue, very safe and great cars.

The Ion was not our first pick. We are a 2 person family just starting out. We were looking for a compact car with no bells or whistles. Our budget was very limited and we needed a car to get from work to home. When we actually test drove the Ion for the first time we were very impressed with the overall quality of the car. Handling was excellent, the interior was comfortable, and the setup was very simple. We ended up test driving it a few more times just to be sure but especially for the price it was just what we needed.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
