2008 Saturn Sky Redline

Awesome performance - straight line and curves. Extremely fun to drive. After you get past that, the build quality is not good and parts are not in great supply (although the ones available are reasonably priced). My Sky had the US9 radio - which includes a 6 CD system with premium sound. It sounds great but provides no iPod interface (other than a plug or the purchase of GM's PAL system which does a OK job of integration). The seats are not comfortable over a long trip, but they do hold well when driving spirited. Be careful that the BOTTOM of panels are not damaged before buying. They are known for having damaged fender bottoms (behind the front tires). If these have cracks, they tend to spread. Overall, a fun roadster that tends to have build issues (not engine and transmission - just body panels and user touch points). Also seems to be a reasonable price for such a high performance vehicle.

My Dream Car Came True!

I have had my eye on the Saturn Sky since it came out in 2007. Now that I own the last of the red, automatic Skys, I love it. It looks great, performs even better (even in the Midwest winter without traction control). Since it is rear-wheel driven, I just don't gun it unless the pavement is bone-dry. All of the controls are within easy reach and there's plenty of storage pockets everywhere, all hidden from view. The stereo is amazing with 6 speakers in a 2-seat roadster! The Ipod hooks right up to the stereo. I do get it pressure-washed weekly and it does leak just a bit near the front of the soft-top (just bring a towel). It handles better than expected and the brake system is amazing, so I feel safe and am safe. Every detail was well thought out and in tune with a serious roadster-minded driver, like me. This car is always fun, always chic, always sexy, and always turns heads.

Little Corvette

This car is a blast to drive. I've owned a 2007 & 2008. Not many people know this but when you purchased this car new they had a dealer installed option. It was a larger Borg Warner Turbo giving you 300hp vs 260hp standard in the Red Line. My 2008 had that upgrade and the difference is night and day! I raced a new Mustang 5.0 V8 and we were dead even. His eyes were as big as a Frisbee! I just sold mine because some guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It was red w/red leather, perfect. Now I'm kicking myself. The only drawback on this car is they should of provided a bigger trunk to actually "take" this fun car somewhere. Maybe an overnight bag at best.
