The drive is exceptional....smooth and a sleek car
I just purchased my used (one previous owner) Scion tC and aboslutely love it! It has so many features that I wasn't expecting. It has a sunroof AND a moonroof. There are auxillary and car charger ports INSIDE the center console as well as a special iPod port that not only plays your music through the speakers but charges the iPod as well. The stock sound system has good base to it, though it is a little difficult at times with certain genres of music to get the balance between the base and trebel just right. The look of the over all dash and radio console is very clean. You can keep it covered with a closed panel or keep it open and see the radio itself. There are controls on the steering well that allow you to change the radio stations between your selected 6 favorites. You can also adjust the volume and change the mode from AM, FM, CD or Aux. It also has cruise control on the steering column. The hatchback trunk is very spacious and has an optional cover if you don't want people walking by to see what's in your trunk. My tC is a 5 speed manual transmission and shifts like a dream. One of the easiest clutches I've driven. The gas mileage is better than my last car and I thought it was great too! It has a 14.5 gallon tank and may seem like you are paying more at the pump but it goes farther. The one and ONLY thing I would have to say I do not like about this car is that while it will beep at you and remind you to put your seatbelt on and when you leave your keys in the ignition... it will NOT beep at you that you still have your headlights on. I have accidentally left them on 3 or 4 times already (thankfully not for very long.) If you are coming from a car that already doesn't have this feature then it shouldn't be a problem but if you have automatic lights or have that nice ding reminder-- you will have to get in the habit of checking your lights when you get out. All in all it is a FANTASTIC car! It was a little bit more than I was expecting to pay, but worth it. You get what you pay for. Scion tC is a dependable car and I would recommend it to anyone.
The gears are very very short. Im having to drive 40mph in fifth gear on thestreet! The tire pressure sensor light is always on when all tires are inflated accordingly. Dont disconnect the battery for any reason because things will stop working, such as putting the passenger window down on the driver side button. Also, the sun roof was VERY hesitant to open and i had to hold the button for a good 5 seconds for it to open. With air conditioning and fan off, air still blows through while driving as if the fans are on so you have to press the button to use surrounding air. Dont even get me started on the non stop squeaking brakes. The hatch seems ti even stick for no apparent reason and even takes the rubber with it. Very disappointing car.
