Transmission: Manual 6 Speed Color: Black Avg. Vehicle Review: 5 (38 reviews) "Comfort: The bucket seats are great! I do not think this car is meant for people over 5'9, however. I'm barely 5'4 and I drive with the seat almost all the way back. The rear seats are very comfortable as well, passengers marvel at the fact that they recline. It's pretty roomy for a compact car. The controls are all easy to access with your fingertips when driving. Performance: Very good handling and braking. The extra horsepower gives it that extra umph when you're trying to get around slow drivers. There is a bit of a blind spot, but I think this is fairly common among all coupes. Quality: I love the sunroof, but I wish the vinyl-like fabric wasn't so flimsy. I also wish there was a trunk/hatch release within the car's interior controls. Appearance: Very sporty look, the alloy rims and the optional accessories really emphasize the look for the car. You don't really need to add any extras to the car, except maybe tint the windows. This car is definitely marketed to the younger (18-30) crowd, but I also think it's versatile as a small family car. Value for the Money: Extremely good value. I was looking at two other cars with similar features, and the things that came standard with the tC, would have cost me a lot more had I gone with another car. I'm very happy with my purchase overall, and would definitely recommend this car to someone else."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Black Avg. Vehicle Review: 5 (38 reviews) "This car is claimed to be a sport coupe, but it really doesn't perform like one. The supension is too soft, and there's way too much body roll (probably caused by a combination of the soft suspension, and a lot of weight in the roof for the steel frame holding the glass roof in place) The clutch is THE worst I've ever used, and I've only ever owned cars with manual transmissions. You never know when it's going to reach the biting-point, it's pretty much impossible to get a good smooth pull-away every time. It makes the driver look like a beginner, no matter how long they've been driving manuals. It also seems to be hugely affected by cold weather - I heard it's a hydraulic clutch instead of the usual cable-clutch, so this may be part of the problem (the hydraulic fluid changing viscosity with temperature). The car has enough power for the price, but it's annoying that it only revs to 6500rpm (the redline is actually 6250rpm). It cuts off just before I would usually want to make my up-shift. Overall, I feel like I'm driving a camry, dressed up as a sport coupe. If you want an old-man car, that LOOKS sporty, this would be a good choice. If you think it's a good alternative to a civic Si or a mazda 3, it's definitely not. Both these other cars are much lighter than this car, and don't ruin their car with stupid gimmicks like the full-glass roof. The one good thing I have to say, is it comes with some of the nicest standard wheels currently available. Overall the car looks generally nice too, the paint is nice and has kept a good shine for 7 months since I bought it. The optional TYC tail lights are nice too, the standard ones are extremely dull and really make the car look much more like the economy 2-door that it is. The TYC tail lights help to hide this fact. The short throw shifter option does shorten the throw a lot, but the standard shifter has such LONG throws, that the short-throw really just reduces the throws down to something that would be considered "standard" in most other cars (at-least ones that I've owned). Too much of this car is "good for the price", and not genuinely "good". I will be trading as soon as possible. I wish I'd never been drawn in by this car's fake-sport-coupe looks."

I love the sunroof. The only drawback is it's a little bumpy when driving on a poor road or highway. And it's somewhat loud. There is also not a lot of room in the hatchback/trunk area. But, overall it's a great car."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Gray Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.571 (38 reviews) "I couldn't wait to get my hands on the tC 3.0 (Special Edition). There were only a limited amount produced... black and white Alacantra seats, black and white shift knob, LED tailights, Kenstyle body kit, some added bass, cost me almost $2000 more and it wasn't worth it. After 11 months, I am bored with the car. It's beautiful on the outside and the inside seats are pretty, but they aren't comfortable. The car is just too small for me and I am only 5'4. I need more space and the wow factor is gone for me. The car is poorly constructed inside, with things getting scratched very easily. I guess I am too rough, but I think the car is just made poorly inside. If you like the 2 door look and the Camry drive then this may be the car for you, but if you want room and a little more pick up get a different car. As much as I love Camry's, I am going to have to get rid of my tC."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Gray Avg. Vehicle Review: 5 (38 reviews) "The 2007 Scion TC 2.0 Release is my first car that I actually own. I'm nineteen years old and this car is perfect for me! Before the TC, I drove a Chevy Cobalt. Comparing the two, I love that everything is automatic! It took a lot of getting used to the engine, switching from a Chevy engine to a Toyota engine; It seems to be a lot more powerful. The TC is comfortable as well; I'm 5'2, so it's just my size! I feel safe when I drive the car as well. In my opinion, the car handles great, but it may be from what I'm comparing it with. I haven't had any major problems with the car, and I hope I won't in the near future. I love the appearance of my TC. The only thing that I'm still trying to adapt to is, the long heavy doors! I'm not used to them so when I get out of the car, somehow the door always goes flying open! The quality of the car is also up to my standards A.K.A. great sound system! Overall, I do love the car for the price I paid for it. I would totally recommend the Scion TC to others!"

Cool exterior, stylish interior, easy to work on, reliable as it gets, and inexpensive to own. The tC feels like a sports car as it has a true analog-mechanical feel to it. Cars nowadays are boring with all the automated garbage, but the tC has just the right amount of features to be fun and fresh and drive like a car should drive. 5 out of 5 stars, I would recommend this over and equivalent Civic any day."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Gray Avg. Vehicle Review: 0 (38 reviews) "I purchased my 2007 Scion tc in 2006, and In the 4 years I have owned it have found it to be of Mechanically good quality, currently have 90,000 miles on it. ALMOST EVERY Scion tc that gets to 3-4 yrs old the back handle on the hatch breaks off (mine is taped on right now) Im always hearing "yours too huh?" They need to recall that part. The Low Profile Tires that come on it wear out every 9 monts or so, It also has the Worst bling spots of any car I have been in. I have atleast 7-8 different dents/scrapes/dings ALL of them on the passenger side, it dosen't take much to dent it. The windows I think are so slanted and small with so much fiberglass exterior that you just cant see whats there all the time. (Previously owned Honda Accord and never had a dent). It is an attractive car with great gas mileage and very comfortable when compared to many other cars. Paint does scratch easily. And yes the manual Scions (like mine) do have a tight clutch which takes a year or so before you can drive it without noticing the switch in gears. I agree a 6th gear would be a great addition, as it does whine a bit in 5th on the hwy, although it appears that mine is at the start of a transmission issue. Just go easy on the Back Hatch Handle, change your transimmion fluid at 40,000miles or so, and watch out for cars or pedestrains on the passenger side! otherwise great ride. Did notice that I actually bought the car for only 1,000 less then it is currently being sold used at 4 years later, little crazy but great for owners to only lose 1,000 value in 4 yrs. Overall Great buy, if I had to do over I would have bought it again just would have been more careful, goodluck!"

I was in an accident on a highway that spun me around in 4 lanes of traffic and then i hit a wall only to get t boned after hitting the wall. Airbags deployed and the car was totalled, but i got out of the car with a scratch on my thumb and did not even need to go to the hospital. the seats were very comfortable and the ride seemed smoothed. The acceleration was what i expected from a car with the horsepower it had. Loved the outside look of the car. Only thing i did not like was the blind spots were large and the trunk has no way to open from the inside or key on the back. You have to lift the handle up and after 5 years it broke. Evidently it is a common problem. Otherwise i enjoyed my time in the scion and would recommend it."

The gas mileage is great! I'm only putting gas in it once every 10 days or so. I ran the last tank from full to empty just to see - I got 353 miles out of one tank of gas! This is a vast improvement over the SUV I was driving. It's very roomy inside and even passengers in the back seat are completely comfortable. I've had many compliments on the car and there isn't one thing I can find to be unhappy about. If you're looking for a new car that is reasonably priced, gets good gas mileage and is completely dependable, I highly recommend the Scion tC. Enjoy!"

Transmission: Automatic Color: Black Avg. Vehicle Review: 5 (38 reviews) "I'm not sure what these other reviewers were previously driving, when they talk about the tC having "good handling"... (maybe they were driving SUVs and minivans before?) but, it really doesn't handle well at all. It's probably similar to a large sedan, not a sport coupe. Other problems - the glass roof is totally pointless. It's not even transparent right across, there's a slightly larger than average front sunroof (which doesn't open as far as you'd expect), followed by a chunk of roof panel blocking the middle part, and then a small transparent section over the rear seats, which doesn't even open! (as mentioned by another reviewer, it adds too much weight to the top of the car, contributing to the body roll) Also, the tires aren't very grippy, and this combined with the body roll really doesn't give you much confidence in harder turns. I can feel the car losing it's grip even on perfectly dry roads, but on wet roads I feel like I have to drive like it's ice on the ground. The engine is extremely boring - yes, it has a little power, and the 0-60 time is not bad (mid 7seconds) but it's no fun getting there. It feels like the engine really does belong in the camry that they borrowed it from. This car needs to rev higher, and definitely needs the engine/exhaust note tuned a little better so it doesn't sound like it's struggling and whining at all times. The car could also use a 6th gear as it revs too hight at highway speeds in 5th. It's a shame, because from the outside, this looks like a really nice car that should perform a hundred times better than it does. Nice paint, nice wheels, the front fascia/lights look pretty cool. Oh well. Another tC will soon be on a used car lot so some 17 year old in a baseball cap can buy it, put some 19 inch black wheels on it and flame stickers down the side, and then crash it (making use of the side airbags I paid extra for). They don't care about real handling anyway"

I wanted a car I could haul antiques, mulch, and my dog, so I like the room available when the seats are down and privacy afforded when it is not. The cover for the trunk area inside is a bit flimsy and could be constructed better. Id avoid the pearl paint next go round for it may be difficult to match if repairs are needed. I like the sky light, but the panel over the back seat is annoying when it flaps. At first, I found the drivers seat cramped, but have adjusted. An inside trunk opener would be useful. Not having a key slot of the back is a good idea."

The tire pressure sensor light is always on when all tires are inflated accordingly. Dont disconnect the battery for any reason because things will stop working, such as putting the passenger window down on the driver side button. Also, the sun roof was VERY hesitant to open and i had to hold the button for a good 5 seconds for it to open. With air conditioning and fan off, air still blows through while driving as if the fans are on so you have to press the button to use surrounding air. Dont even get me started on the non stop squeaking brakes. The hatch seems ti even stick for no apparent reason and even takes the rubber with it. Very disappointing car."

horrible car to iwn

2007 Scion tC Victor - Patterson, CA 11/09/2014

This car handle horribly. You could feel every little bump in the road turned hard. So main blind spots.

Excellent car!

2007 Scion tC Satisfied... - Washington D.C. 11/20/2006

Comfort: The bucket seats are great! I'm very happy with my purchase overall, and would definitely recommend this car to someone else.

Sport coupe? Not quite...

2007 Scion tC Dan - Ohio 02/02/2007

This car is claimed to be a sport coupe, but it really doesn't perform like one. I wish I'd never been drawn in by this car's fake-sport-coupe looks.
