This is a great car for someone starting out or starting over. Great gas mileage and handling. Interior space is good for both 6' son, dogs and cargo. Handles well in wet and snowy weather. We have an 10 year-old Scion and it's been VERY reliable - see no reason that this shouldn't be the same.
In the approximately 6 months we owned the car we have had no problems with it except having to replace the tires after my wife damaged on. Since, in my experience, tires on the lower to mid end usually have to be replaced fairly quickly on used cars this was an expected expense. What can I say about the car other than it has met expectations and I fully expect to never have to use the extended service warranty. This makes me happy so I am a happy purchaser so far.
It has great mileage. I live about 35 minutes from work and a full tank will get me to and from work all week. Only problem I've had is that I had to replace my brakes within three months of getting it.
