Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.462 reviews) After looking at comparable models (Nissan Rogue, Honda CRV, Rav 4) I decided to look at the Subaru Forester. This is my first venture with a Subaru and so far it has exceeded my expectations. Overall, the performance, handling and amenities of this car are better than I expected. The overall quality of the vehicle is very good. Very easy car to understand and operate. Very good layout of controls. Nice ride and engine noise is minimal. Compared to the other models, I would highly recommend looking at the Forester. Plus the sunroof on the Subaru is great.

Fun, sporty, small SUV

I'm really enjoying my sporty Forester 2.5XT. Lots of pep in this turbo charged 4 cylinder. Perfect for our family of 4 and the dog. Only drawbacks so far are the required 91+ octane gas, gas mileage could be better and the required full synthetic oil changes every 3500 miles. Other than that I love the car.

Love it!

Bought my Forester with 15k on it, but it's in perfect condition, inside and out. Moving from a Jeep Commander to the Forester was not difficult as I expected it would be. It's comfy and plenty of room for all I need. I drove it from Sacramento to Seattle and had a blast. Didn't even lose power on the hills and passes. EPA is great for what it is and, though some people have mentioned noise in the cabin, it's nothing to complain about. I love it and when I wear this one down, I'll get another!

Subaru not a bad choice

My wife wanted a Subaru Forester after hearing good reviews and being the good little hippie that she is. I however am a GQ/James Bond guy so we compromised and got the Ltd. edition. This included leather seats, Panoramic sunroof, navigation system, optional sport manual drive, remote ignition etc. It is worth the upgrade. The other Subarus lived up to their rep. for cheap interior, and even the upgrade had some cheap parts. One of the quirks is the navigation and radio. The radio doesn't come on for 10 minutes if it's below 25 degress. The nav. system is too complicated, the manual doesn't help much and it needs to be simplified. On the positive side, the drivetrain is surprisingly smooth and the driving turn circle is above average for this price. The AWD handles very well in snow and rain. Gas mileage has been around 26 mpg with regular fuel.(If you get a Turbo you need premium fuel) Reliability is great so far but we'll see in another 60K miles. When the car is in reverse it senses any object and beeps louder and faster the closer you get. Head room is very good and leg room is good considering I'm 6' 6". To sum it up it's an excellent, practical, family type of car that has a little more character than the "Vanilla"Toyota Rav4 and Honda CRV. My last 2 cars were Infinitis so I have high standards.
