Used 2009 Subaru Forester in Dulles, VA
Reviews for 2009 Subaru Forester
handles well in poor conditions. Easy to drive. Comfortable
This car is comfortable, fun to drive, and good on gas(as long as you keep your foot out of the floorboard)!, but there is too much cabin noise. I average 20 in town and 28 on the highway on non-ethanol premium fuel. Fuel that contains ethanol causes that to drop to 17/25. Cabin noise is only irritating if its windy outside, it becomes terrible if the sun roof is open! Audiophiles will want to plan on upgrading the audio system, but most people should be happy with the factory system. I love this car and I will probably keep it for the next six years or so. I've already put 3,000 miles on it, and I've only had it for a month. I will up date this review in about a year.
I traded my beloved Jeep Wrangler in on this Subaru Forester, and while I miss my Jeep, I am so very satisfied with the Forester. Great pick up, smooth ride, easy to drive, and all kinds of room. The seats are fine, though not exceptional like the rest of the car, and I'm not fond of the "metallic plastic" parts of the interior such as the arm rests on the doors. They look kind of silvery gray and my 86 year old mother says it "matches her hair." That's not necessarily something she ever said about any part of the Jeep. Other reviews I read ragged on the stereo system and/or the loud engine. I have absolutely no issue with either. I just wish all the folks that have Subarus would wave at each other.
