2006 WRX Wagon
We test drove ours and fell in love. Went with the wagon over the sedan b/c the back seats in the 2006 sedan don't fold down and we didn't want to have to put everything on a rack (snowboards, bikes, etc). It's easier to just fold down the seat in the wagon and throw them in. The biggest drawback on this vehicle is the gas mileage, which is expected with all wheel drive and the WRX engine, but it still sucks. Also, with the WRX, you have to get at least mid-grade gas. Ouch. Overall, we love our Subaru. It handles great and is so fun to drive. We never get nervous about winter road conditions here in Vermont with this beast.
The best era of the WRX in my perspective
The stock turbo pushes very well. (0-100 real quick) aha You can hit sharp corners at fast speeds Love the AWD Drives well in the rain Modern technology Stock speakers sound excellent (A lot of thump in the trunk) And of course that rumble sound just pulls you in never wanting to let go of the gas. If you like going fast I would recommend this specific vehicle.
I like it a lot only issue is road noise inside
handles well, well built, safe, high ratings on reliability and maintaining value. A little more expensive than other cars but worth it. Only thing I dont like is the road noise inside makes using the blue tooth for phone calls impossible if you are driving on the fwy. can be used only at low speeds. I am so bummed about that.
