I read a review in the local newspaper that stated the 2010 Legacy was an average mid sized family car that didnt offer value over its competitors. They really didnt understand the true value of this car. I own the 2010 Legacy and first off, to get 32 MPG in mixed driving with an all wheel drive car is very good. The Outback will cost you a a couple of MPG because of the higher ground clearance. This is a true car because it sits so low to the ground and that does effect its ability in snow. The rear seat legroom is exceptional and those with a family will appreciate that. It handles ok which is dissapointing for a AWD car in my opinion but the 4 cyl engine has good acceleration albeit noisy for a heavy mid size car with a small engine. The ride is very good at highway speeds. Avoid the light colored taupe cloth interior as it soaks up every stain and is difficult to keep clean. I think it is stylish considering it is a bland family sedan. The true value comes in the fact that its price compared to a Camry on the surface isnt that great but when you add in the fact that every subaru is awd , the cost difference is apparent. Also, when you research reliability in autos , an AWD system tends to drop the reliability rating so Subaru models are very reliable considering the AWD versus competitors. As you can tell, my family researched all vehicles and found the legacy to be an outstanding value. Quality, interior space, MPG, AWD, and cost made this our family car next to our Outback.
This car is awesome. It handles like a sports car and has great pick up. The inside interior is very spacious and has plenty of room for a family of 4. It has every feature you would find in a luxury car. This car is what a Subaru is all about!!!
This is my first Suburu, I like the overal styling, comfort is good, acceleration (V6) is awesome & smooth.. car stereo system is "premium" Harmon Kardon which I am comparing to my previous Bose in my Mazda 6 - it is NOT the same and doesn't sound near as good. Speaker placement in Suburu is high on dash and sound does not "surround" driver, even when adjusting fade left/right/center/front/back. This is my biggest complaint. Because vehicle is AWD, it has taken some getting used to when I am turning corners, seems to hesitate & bump some. I also think there might be a problem shifting down when it gets below 30 mph. I was told to take it to a Suburu dealer for this problem.
