You can't beat all-wheel drive for safety and peace of mind. especially if you drive in snowy weather. This is a great choice for the sedan market. Sensibly priced and well-equipped, you would be hard pressed to do better for the money. I've been averaging 25 mpg city and 34 highway, so it's economical to operate as well. I love the smooth ride.

Ever since I have bought my 2008 Subaru Legacy, I couldn't have been happier with my decision! Its a car that has excellent safety reviews and is enjoyable to ride in! Since starting to drive, I've gotten atleast 28 miles per gallon which is a little more than what the dealers had stated. I would certainly recommend this car to anybody! It would be very hard for me to switch to a different type of car in the future!

I traded in my 2006 Suburu Forester for a 2008 Legacy for a car that has a lot less mileage. I've been very happy with the way it handles, but there are a few things that are disappointing. Going from a little SUV to a sedan, I miss the rear windshield wipers. In the morning, there's a lot of dew on the rear windshield, and there is no way to get rid of it, unless I stop and wipe it off or wait for it to evaporate.
Secondly, the Forester got about 18 to 19 mpg in the city. The specs for the Legacy say it gets 20 mpg in the city, but this car is getting only about 16.5 mpg. I'm very concerned about this with the price of gas what it is, but I have not yet checked it out. Hopefully, something can be tweaked so I can get better mileage.
It's a pretty sharp looking vehicle, and there seems to be enough room in the trunk for my usual stuff. I bought a wooden bench in a box recently, and it slid into the car pretty well with the back seat down.
All and all, it's a good little car. Gas mileage is the most disappointing thing about it. Hope I can find a way to improve that.
