Interior space is excellent and you can't beat the AWD. Comfortable seating all around and plenty of space for all your stuff. I am 6'4", my boys are growing fast, and everyone is comfortable in this car. Reclining rear seats. Even with the driver seat all the way back, my boys have plenty of room. This is our second Subaru Outback and we will have another after this one is done.
This is my third Outback Limited. I transport dogs for a Golden Retriever rescue organization. The sunroof, leather seats, AWD, and interior/cargo room make it ideal for that purpose. I am getting great gas mileage for an SUV. The ride is comfortable and fairly quiet. My only two complaints are minor...the headrest has an uncomfortable tilt for someone who is short and the panel with the clock is difficult to read during the day. The Outback is fun to drive and looks good too.
I owed one and it was the best car i've ever driven! it handled well and was very reliable.
The Subaru Outback is versatile and rugged, but also offers plenty of style, comfort, and class. Allwheeldrive comes standard, and there really arent any other midsize wagons that offer everything the Outback is capable of. Having similar ground clearance to a Jeep Grand Cherokee means the Outback can go places that other wagons simply cant handle, and get over rough terrain more easily than most other vehicles of similar size and style. For people who want a crossover SUV in a reasonable price range, the Subaru Outback is definitely worth a careful look.
The 2017 Subaru Outback offers a bit more style than the past model years had to offer, but the trade-off for that style is a little bit of utility. Subaru has the EyeSight avoidance technology suite, automatic high beams and reverse automatic braking. There is a focus on ensuring the driver can see well, and that the SUV will hold up to the enjoyment of offroad experiences. No matter the model year, some key features include:
With the four-cylinder engine the Subaru Outback is a bit sluggish, and can lack the level of acceleration that would typically be expected. It can also be difficult to drive it smoothly because of that, though the larger engine helps. Even with a bigger engine, though, the Outback can still feel a bit underpowered. The overall driving experience is relatively clean with the larger engine, and steering is comfortable and responsive both on the highway and in more rugged terrain.
When compared with other, similar vehicles like the Kia Sorento and Ford Edge, the Subaru Outback holds its value. Subarus reputation for durability has been ongoing, so anyone looking to buy an Outback can expect it to cost at the upper end of the price range when compared to its counterparts. However, the value people receive when they purchase a Subaru is generally well worth the price, as the vehicle can be expected to be durable.
The Subaru Outback has a lower roof line than many of its competitors, and its cargo loading floor is also lower. That makes loading up easier, whether you are putting things in the back or using a roof rack or luggage carrier. While performance is not as strong as some other makes and models, the Outback still provides a responsive driving experience. Buyers can expect:
The Subaru Outback comes standard with a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine providing 175 horsepower, along with an automatic CVT that provides all four wheels with power. Getting 17-inch wheels is standard, and 18-inch wheels are optional. Hill descent and hill holding assist are also offered. There are six levels of trim for the 2017 Subaru Outback, and a V6 engine is available with higher levels. Snow-covered highways, rough terrain, and rugged back roads are where the Outback really shines, as its performance is more lackluster on standard roadways.
The Subaru Outback's got a lot of ground clearance. This five-passenger crossover wagon is taller than most crossover SUVs with a more rugged appearance, making it great for passing rocky trails or snowy roads without difficulty. Additionally, the base Outback has a wide variety of features, including:
