For living in the west, specifically Colorado, Subaru Outbacks are THE car to own. Yes, I understand that station wagons are not "hip" or cool, but this car is not about being hip or cool, but rather being able to get where you want to go up in the hills safely and with little trouble. And speaking of little trouble, any Subaru, with its all-wheel-drive, will allow you to get around town or the state in snowy weather, with little or no trouble. The Outback is safe and one of the most reliable vehicles out there!

For my preferences, the cons outweigh the pros. I will say I intend to keep it for the weather durability. It definitely has its gifts.

In every sense, my 2008 Outback meets all my expectations! First trip was a 1,000 mile roundtrip into Up North snow country, and this all-wheel dude performed as advertised. A new set of Michelin Primacy tires assured handling/performance perfection and this LL Bean Limited edition, complete with navigation system, fit our needs perfectly
