Reviews for 2011 Subaru Outback
Comfortable car, reliable, AWD, and super capable in the snow up north. Returns decent fuel economy for a 2011.
I am very satisfied with my 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited. I've had it for about 2 months now, and I continue to be amazed at all aspects of the car. I live in Colorado where the Subaru could easily be the official state car! Given the size of the new Outback design and the higher altitude here in Colorado, I had mostly decided to get the 3.6 6 cylinder engine. One of the 3.6R models came into CARMAX at the same time as they had a 2.5 4 cylinder model. I was able to drive both of these and compare. The 2.5 has the CVT transmission, and the 3.6 has a 5 speed automatic. The 2.5 is a very capable engine, but the 3.6 is noticeably stronger. The 2.5 had to rev a lot on the hills. The 3.6 engine feels very well matched to the Outback. When you want it to go, it goes! No spongy gas pedal, it is very responsive. The car is quiet and comfortable on the road and around town. The 3.6R can sail up a mountain pass with ease even loaded with passengers, gear and running the A/C. I just took a 5 hour trip within Colorado which included two mountain passes and no Interstate driving. The 3.6R got 30 mpg! The Harmon Kardon sound system is excellent! The sub woofer in the cargo area makes a big difference and takes up no cargo space. Mine has a sunroof and a backup camera you can view in the rear view mirror. Both work great. I can't say enough about this car. Very happy with it!
2011 Subaru Outback with 52k drives like new
The Outback is an excellent choice for those who want good gas mileage, plenty of space to accommodate a shopping trip or moving from one place to another. The 8 inch ground clearance makes getting in and out of the vehicle easy. Outbacks also hold their value as they age.
