This is my third Outback Limited. I transport dogs for a Golden Retriever rescue organization. The sunroof, leather seats, AWD, and interior/cargo room make it ideal for that purpose. I am getting great gas mileage for an SUV. The ride is comfortable and fairly quiet. My only two complaints are minor...the headrest has an uncomfortable tilt for someone who is short and the panel with the clock is difficult to read during the day. The Outback is fun to drive and looks good too.
Not a big fan of Subaru

I have had lots of trouble with this car. For one thing, I was not aware the ALL Subarus have a tire issue. If ONE of your tires goes bad (worn on one side, hole in it, etc) you have to replace all FOUR due to the Symmetrical AWD. Also this AWD burns more gas and wears your tires out more quickly than a 2 wheel drive car. I recently spent $4000 on a new transmission and timing belt at mileage 90,000. I have had electrical issues also.

Incredible amount of room, especially in the back seats. Highway MPG. 2.5 engine has plenty of power, even for passing and cruising on mountain climbs (I travel over the Blue Ridge Mountains constantly). Smooth ride, even on 14-hour trips. Climate controls easy to use and system is effective in maintaining comfort. Hardon sound system has great acoustics. Seats very comfortable, but might be a bit short for long-thighed drivers. Leather seats much more comfortable than the cloth ones. No body rattling. Overall, a pleasure to drive, and it gets lots of compliments from friends.
