Perfect car for me. I had two cars, a Suburban to accommodate my 2 Newfoundland dogs and kids that are now grown and gone, and a MINI cooper to drive around town when without the dogs. I have a very large paddleboard that I could manage to carry on top of the MINI, I could not reach the top of the Suburban. The Subaru Outback is the perfect one car for me, small enough to enjoy driving around town, luxurious feeling and sporty; large enough for my two large Newfoundland dogs and low enough for me to comfortably put my paddle board on and off the roof. We travel back and forth to Vermont so the all wheel drive is very important.

The Subaru Outback is a comfortable and smooth ride. It fits our lifestyle of camping and going skiing in the mountains. We are starting a family and it has nice room in the back and it is considered one of the safest cars to buy.
Fuel efficient, road hugging, spacious, nice amenities and very comfortable. With its 6-speed switchable automatic/manual transmission its at home on the highway as on two lane windey mountain roads -- a real pleasure to drive; I thought I would miss the 5-speed of my Scion xA but the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters fill in just fine. My driving is 50/50 Interstate and surface and my Outback consistently gets around 30mpg. With the rear seats lowered it has more cargo area than my son's Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Subaru Outback is popular with our customers, and we've sold more than 10,000 of these versatile wagons. In this Subaru Outback review, we take a look at some of the Outback's capabilities, both on and off the road!
