Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.667 reviews) I only wish Subaru would work on a power assist for the back hatch. As a small woman, I find it very heavy...am building some good arm muscles! That is about the only drawback...except that I had hoped for better mpg. I am getting about 13 mpg in the city and 18 on the highway. I was hoping for more. Now, I know this is a V6 and all wheel drive...but it should still get more mpg's. It is very quiet and comfortable. My husband has mobility issues and we had to get a car that would be fitting for him and this works well! We had a Subaru many years ago and it served us well...we look for a long relationship with 'Becky'....

Whoa Tranny

The transmission in this car is awful! Either Subaru didn't match the transmission to the engine when they increased the horsepower in 2008, or it 's just a poor job of quality control. The transmission is slow to downshift causing a noticeable stutter, or vibration before it shifts. You can overcome this by either letting off the gas so that the rpm's drop allowing it to shift, or speeding up so that the transmission downshifts to provide more pickup, and higher rpm's. If you are driving in traffic, you do not have the ability to slow down or speed up when you need to; you have to live with the vibration. I have tried driving in "sport" mode, and using the "manual shift" option, but neither correct the problem. Do not buy a Tribeca!

Owned 2 of them!!

I have owned 2 Tribecas. Both of them were very nice and reliable! No problems at all! The only negative issue I had was the bad gas mileage. If you want a good quality vehicle you can't go wrong with this car.
