Customer Review Summary for Toyota 4Runner
Great car, a bit pricey
2008 Toyota 4RunnerGreg - Lakewood, CO11/14/2014
Great all around car. Not too big, not too. It drives like a sedan but can still conquer more tough stuff than most SUVs or trucks. The 4.7L V8 has an impressive amount of kick but the gas mileage as well as the size of the gas tank leave a bit more to be desired. I have owned a '97 Ford Explorer, an '08 Subaru Outback, and an '04 F150 and this is on par with my previous Subaru for quality and finish. Although not quite on the same level as Subaru with regards to driving on slick surfaces, the full time 4WD is still great and will get you to and from most anywhere.
4 out of 5 stars, above decent.
2011 Toyota 4RunnerBanks - Crystal Springs, MS07/17/2014
Bought this for my wife. Interior of the limited editions is very nice. We have the 4 wheel drive version with hydraulic shocks, considering it is a 4 wheel drive, the ride is extremely smooth. However, the steering is completely numb and somewhat floaty. The engine seems somewhat underpowered for the vehicle, but the 4 cylinder version is horrendous. All and all we're pretty satisfied with the vehicle. Gas mileage could be better. We get between 20 and 22 highway, have gotten 23 drafting an 18 wheeler. Don't drive much in the city but i guess it would be around 16-17. The "Eco" mode/indicator is really pointless.
Another Great 4Runner
2008 Toyota 4RunnerDavid Pitser - Charlotte, NC02/01/2016
Solid, well built, easy to drive, comfortable. I owned a 2002 4Runner and loved it but gave it to my daughter when she graduated from school and replaced it with a 2008 model for me. I didn't think I would like the newer version as much but I was wrong - it's terrific in almost every way.
