Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Red Average Vehicle Review: (4.667 reviews) I bought this car as a replacement for an SUV. We already had another SUV, and given gas prices it didn't make sense to have 2, so we decided to sell one SUV and go for a sedan. It was a bit of a mourning process for me, as I loved my SUV! But, the Avalon has truly proven to be a wonderful choice. It is a very slick looking car, having a luxury appearance without the luxury price. The limited is a tri-coat paint scheme, giving it a metallic pearl-whitecolor which is very classy. The interior is well-apportioned, with leather seats and leather and wood trim done very stylishly. There is enough room for 5 to sit comfortably. The Avalon's performance is greater than I expected. Of course, it is not a sports car and doesn't have the same horsepower as some other cars in its class, but the pick-up-and-go, acceleration, and maneuverability of the Avalon is perfect for my needs (I do both city and highway driving). In fact, I have been surprised sometimes at how well those horses under the hood run! Optional accessories, like the moon roof, rear windshield shade, and heated/cooled seats, make the Avalon a class above other cars I test drove. And there were many! I tested out the Ford Taurus - I liked the power, but the 2012 Taurus felt "cheap" compared to the Avalon (very sad to see it, too, since I had a 1995 Taurus and loved it). The Chrysler 300 was also tested. I loved its luxurious feel, and it had a few more bells and whistles than the Avalon, but its reliability scared me a bit. Toyota has a very strong reconrd of reliability. In short, I'd definitely recommend this car to anyone - at least give it a look!

Surprise, surprise, surprise

The car isn't exciting to look at. It's OK. But it definitely has to grow on you. But the interior, performance and ride are really above and beyond expectations. It's comfortable and spacious and really, really nice. Everyone who rides is really impressed, and somewhat surprised. I guess they shouldn't be, its an Avalon after all. Its midsize with a big car feel, we really like it.

Wonderful car!

I can't say enpough about this car. It is comfortable, smooth, responsive, and reliable. Since I've owned it I've had no buyers remorse. I see that some people have complained about cabin noise and cornering issues. I have no idea what they are talking about.

My 2012 Toyota Avalon

This is my third Avalon. I love the car for its luxurious motor, six cylinders and ease of handling. The only thing I am disappointed in is that my last Avalon had room for six CDs and the new one only takes one. I love to listen to music and that is very important to me. Since I only saw the car after it was shipped to me from another city, I did not have an opportunity to discover this until I received the car. It is the smoothest driving car I have ever driven in this price range, and I just love it.
