2007 Toyota Camry HybridHP - Grain Valley, Missouri02/07/2010
While an excellent driving, riding car with excellent economy.....there are problems.
1. Cruise control unstable....surges...can't maintain constant speed if the road is anything other than flat.
2. Speedometer reads 3 mph higher than actual speed. (as checked with my Garmin GPS)
3. Daytime readability of Instrument cluster is terrible. Dash lights must be turned all the way up to read the speedometer. Then, at night, the auto dimmer does not drop the lights nearly enough to avoid glare. Lights behind central instrument panel (radio, etc.) are blinding at night unless manually dimmed way down.
4. Brakes squall loudly when applied while backing the vehicle.
I've been to Toyota dealer and told nothing can be done about any of these things. I've owned the car since January, 2007. Like it except for the above problems.

Overall a very solid performing car. The gas savings with the hybrid is a vast difference from my '02 XLE. Cabin noise is greatly reduced, the ride is similar, the seats are much more adjustable - therefore more comfortable. Etune app on this model is not the most user friendly while driving, so be careful to set it up prior to your drive and turn it off with no regrets.
The car is great - the salesman not so much

Nice ride, and great mileage. This is our second Camry Hybrid. It's the best MPG I can find outside the Prius which I really don't care for the dashboard so I chose not to buy,
The salesman was a whole different story. Despite the fact that he as told I was the customer, he kept talking to my husband instead of me! I told him numerous times "I am your customer" but he never caught on. In hind sight, I likely should have asked for a different salesman.
