2007 Toyota Camry HybridJimbo - Columbia, MD06/12/2007
There are many great features with our limited edition Camry Hybrid, and the better-than-expected highway gas mileage was a pleasant surprise. On two recent trips we averaged 43.5 MPG with cruise control set at 65 MPH. Maybe the 16" tires helped. City driving is a little less than anticipated - closer to 36 MPG at the 35 - 50 MPH speeds. Driving habits also change once you become used to driving a hybrid. My second vehicle used to average around 25 MPG of mixed highway and city driving, and I've recently noted that I'm getting closer to 28 MPG. I find myself "backing off" on the gas pedal - a habit I picked up after driving a hybrid. The moral of this story - hybrid vehicles not only help conserve fuel themselves, but could also make a contribution to fuel economy by changing a driver's habits when operating non-hybrid vehicles.

This seems to be a great car. After having driven it for 4,000 miles with 21,000 on the odometer total, we have found that this car handles well, is comfortably designed, and uses half the fuel of our Accord. We highly recommend this vehicle. The only drawback is that it does not have the off-the-line acceleration of a regular, 100% gasoline engine.
Very happy with my purchase

Great gas mileage - averaging 38mph. Quiet ride, very roomy for 6'5" driver and three passengers. Only problem has been bluetooth phone - I have to disconnect and reconnect every time I want to use it. Other than that, very happy with my purchase and CarMax process.
