Excellent Car

2010 Toyota Camry SecondCamryOwner - Columbus, OH 11/07/2011

I previously owned a 2006 Toyota Camry. I began looking for another car in July 2011. I test drove a 2010 Honda Accord, a 2009 Volkswagen Passat, and a 2010 Camry. I actually went into it expecting to purchase the Accord because I had heard so many good stories about their reliability and long life. But I did not think the Accord or Passat drove nearly as smoothly as the Camry did. The Camry is just such a smooth comfortable ride. I have now had my 2010 Camry LE for four months. I like the sleak exterior, and particularly like the Gray Metallic paint color because it hides dirt and has a nice shine. Of course now that I have one, I happen to notice lots of others on the road in the same color so it must be popular. The interior is roomy, the cloth seats are of good quality. The only thing I wish was a little snazzier is the look of the center (radio, temperature knobs, gear shift, etc). I think the light colored hard plastic looks a little cheap. A nicer material or even darker color would class it up. I do appreciate, though, that there are lots of little compartments to keep things in the middle. My father-in-law - who reads Consumer Reports on cars - was surprised by how much leg room there is inside and how large the trunk is. He also noticed that the door swings out a little wider when you open it, which is nice if you are carrying large things in the car or helping an older person in. Gas mileage seems good. I am very happy with the car and would definitely recommend it.

An exceptionally comfortable car

2010 Toyota Camry Plinius - Winchester, KY 10/30/2012

This is the XLE model so that it has just about everything that you can put into a Toyota Camry. It is extremely comfortable and easy to drive. I often have to drive long distances and find that in this car I do not feel the stress and strain that normally accompanies extended driving on crowded highways. It is reasonably good on gas although not as good as more recent models. I tend to keep cars for a long time and look forward to having this one for quite a few years. I was used to driving a 5 speed manual which had a very strong "feel" for the road, so this took a bit of getting used to. The only complaint I have is -- as had been often mentioned about this model -- the steering is a bit numb, at least compared to what I was driving.

I love this car!

2010 Toyota Camry Michelle Jones - Nashville, TN 10/30/2015

It's fast but not too fast like the Infinity was. The handling is awesome, it grips the road perfectly and can handle the curves of the road (or unexpected pot holes) beautifully. It heats up fast for those cold days. It looks stylish but not like an older persons car. (I'm in my early 30's)

2010 Toyota Camry Overview

The Toyota Camry swiftly went on to dominate its car segment. Over time, the Camry has earned a reputation for its smart design, great functionality, durability, and build. The 2010 model builds upon its segment-topping status and focuses on refreshing its design to have more modern features and stylized exterior updates.

2010 Toyota Camry History

  • The Toyota Camry debuted in the 1983 model year.
  • The 2010 Toyota Camry is part of the seventh generation of Camrys. This group of models began production in 2007 and ended in 2011.
  • A 3.5L engine is available in all trim levels except the base model.
  • New for this generation is the gasoline-electric Hybrid model.

How It Drives

The 2010 Camry's driving experience is excellent. The Toyota Camry seats five people comfortably - it has ample headroom and legroom despite being on the smaller end of midsize cars. It has fantastic maneuverability, turns smoothly, and is easy to park. The front-wheel drive Camry is smooth and quiet, and it feels nimble and sprightly on the highway.

The engine type can be swapped out depending on preference. It comes with a standard four-cylinder engine, which promotes fuel efficiency over horsepower. It can be upgraded to a V6 engine to add a little more power to the midsize sedan.

Used 2010 Toyota Camry Value

It's no surprise that the Toyota Camry is one of the most popular midsize sedans in America. It is extremely well-rounded - it has great fuel efficiency, reasonable performance, high-quality materials, and drives pleasantly under most circumstances. It's also surprisingly roomy considering its status as a small car. Altogether, this makes the Toyota Camry an enjoyable car for the daily commute and to ferry a few friends or family members every now and then.

Compared to other midsize sedans, you will find that the Toyota Camry stands as a front-runner in its segment. It has a comfortable interior, roomy seating for its size, and well-organized controls. It's also quite stylish. Overall, the Camry's well-rounded set of qualities makes it a great choice for a used midsize sedan.

Design & Performance

The Toyota Camry is designed to be both stylish and functional. It can be customized to suit your liking, and has four trim levels:

  • The base Camry model is well-equipped, hosting a lot of modern features. Bluetooth connectivity and full-power accessories are included on the base model.
  • If you are happy with the features of the base model, but want a more powerful Camry, then look to the V6-engine Camry LE.
  • The Camry SE is more pleasing to the sports car crowd. It is also available with the V6 engine, but has a better suspension.
  • The Camry XLE is quite upscale, rivaling entry-level luxury vehicles.

The Camry is also available as a hybrid, making it one of the most fuel-efficient compact cars in the United States. It differs from the base model under the hood: it has a hybrid gas and electric powertrain and is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Powertrain & Engine

The 2010 Camry is equipped with a standard 2.5L four-cylinder engine. It ensures an economic ride to work and solid horsepower for the base, LE, and XLE trim levels. The SE's inherent sportiness gives it slightly better horsepower. This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The LE, SE, and XLE Camry models have access to an optional V6 engine upgrade. The 3.6L V6 engine will dramatically improve overall performance. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift feature.

Body Style & Interior Comfort

Expect to drive in comfort and style with the Toyota Camry. For 2010, the Camry received a design refresh. It has a new front bumper, grille, larger headlamps, and restyled facelamps. All wheel styles were upgraded across trim levels.

  • The interior is quite comfortable.
  • The Toyota Camry features power accessories on all trim levels.
  • The Camry Hybrid has a new meter cluster and different seating fabric that's made of silk and synthetic fiber. It feels gentle to the touch.
