The Corolla S model is a great mix of economy, pleasure, and performance ...... particularly with the 5 sp manual and moonroof features. Handling is a bit vague at high speeds, like many light cars, but you quickly adapt to it. Would ideally like a few more HP, but you'd then sacrifice economy. The car is remarkably roomy, particularly headroom and back seat room. All in all, we're very happy with the purchase.

I enjoy my Corolla. It handles well, is great on gas. My complaints are fairly minor, but annoying nevertheless: the radio reception is poor and frequently has a lot of static; the clock is in an awkward (even dangerous) spot--below all of the controls so that you have to take your eyes off the road to look down and to the right to see it.
One other little problem: there are two "bolt covers" in the vent directly below the front windshield--one of them is missing.

I have had this car (2010 LE) for about 10 months now and I absolutely love it. It's my first car, and so far, no problems...including four 1,000 mile+ road trips.
- gas mileage
- smooth, quiet ride
- very large trunk, and the seats fold down to give you even more room
- steering handles well, no play in the wheel
- good acceleration for a car this size
- the clock is at the bottom of the panel, why not just put it in the radio screen like every other car? I have to look for a few more seconds to find the clock because I keep forgetting it's down at the bottom.
- everything sticks to the seat upholstery - hair, lint etc. (I have the base model upholstery)
- car doesn't handle any wind very well. Keep both hands on the wheel!
