Transmission: Automatic Color: White Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.875 (83 reviews) "I've had my Fj Cruiser for five years now. I'm currently living in Germany. I've traveled all around Europe with it. The European men are attracted to my truck. (awkward) But, I love driving it around on my adventures. While its not the fastest on the autobahn for obvious reasons I can still pass when i need to. I had to take the roof rack off due to low clearances in the parking garages, lol, but, I can get under the test barrier limiter. Everywhere I go, every country i travel to i get a new country sticker for my truck. So, far, I've collected 10 different country stickers to put in the trucks service record book. Its been a very good truck as it has developed its own personality along the many miles its traveled. Its not fond of new tires. Each time i buy new tires one of them has to be flat. I dont understand this as i dont drive over anything that would do that action. but, for some reason, the truck always finds a way to flatten one tire. I'm able to go over the terrain with ease, plow through the snow with ease and go anywhere i want with no problems. its a great truck. and while its starting to show its age and my abuse i still take care of its important parts. it still runs like a champ ive done the typical modifications to it that everyone who owns a 4x4 does and it still performs. I love my truck, i have about 80K on it right now, i plan on going for a million miles or more. I've been tempted from time to time to trade it in for a smaller suv to acomadate the small spaces in Europe, however, i would be disappointed in myself as ive developed an attachment to my truck being an original owner when it first came out in 06 as a 07 model. the gas mileage does go up once the roof rack comes off. i get about 19/24 from it. i can pack as much gear in the back of it as any conventional truck. where ever i go i manage to get just enough in it to complete the weekend. i cam remember all the people who ever rode in its passenger seat on my travels. its sad when fj wanna be's give up and trade it in due to whatever reason. if you are a true blood owner you would go the distance with you machine. i've been many places with my fj and plan to go many more. i plan on many years of ownership. toyota did an awesome job putting this truck together, i would buy another one in the future if we are still around."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Green Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.909 (83 reviews) "I own a 96 Jeep Cherokee that is developing issues with dependability. So my research led me to Toyota and the FJ. I have owned it since Dec. 2006 and it has performed very well. I have two large dogs that take up the cargo area so I use the roof rack and a cargo carrier that fits in the 2" receiver. The cargo carrier by "Stowaway" is their swingaway model. The swingaway model opens and swings to the FJ's passenger side which allows the rear door to open. FJs things that Impress me. * performance * overall quality * space * locking rear differential on all models FJ things I would change * more interior storage compartments * larger fuel tank * move the mirrors inline with the "A" post to reduce blind spot * adjust apex arc of middle windshield wiper not to end in the drivers line of sight, eventually there will be vision issues as the window scratches by the reversing of the wiper blade."

Transmission: Automatic Color: White Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.909 (83 reviews) "My husband and I bought our FJ in July 2006. It is the absolute BEST vehicle I have ever owned!!! I am the primary driver for this vehicle. When I was looking for the right SUV I compared the FJ to the H3, Jeep liberty and the Xterra. After looking at a side by side comparison of interior space, features and capabilities on all of the SUV's I decided to test drive the FJ. I had already driven all of the other SUV's on my list but put off driving the FJ because it just seemed too good to be true and I was afraid to have my dream bubble burst when I drove it (I thought it would drive like a Jeep Wrangler probably because I wanted one terribly when I was a teenager and when I finally got the money together to buy my first car the test drive was a disappointment to say the least). Of course, I fell in love the minute I started driving the FJ. Some great points: *I like the big dashboard with a flat windshield...It keeps the sun off of both myself and the interior making summers easier. *I got the package with a subwoofer and really put to use the Ipod auxillary jack. *My GPS fits perfectly next to the rearview mirror without obstructing my view making it easy to follow directions and keep an eye on what's behind me. *The interior is beyond easy to keep clean with the water resistant set up (I had no trouble cleaning up a little accident one of my smaller dogs made, something that would not have been so successful with traditional interior). *It is great for families with large breed dogs, my 120 lb. Great Dane actually likes to use the back seat instead of the cargo area with the seats down and has no trouble getting in and out even though he is almost 13 years old. (make sure you get the runners) *I have a 2 year old and this vehicle has kept the sun off of her and any messes she makes a breeze to clean up. *The turn radius is incredible. I cannot tell you how often I've had passengers exclaim over it. *Everyone I let drive this vehicle starts talking about when they will get one, even my mother who told me she thought it was too large for her...then drove it and couldn't stop talking about how easy it was to drive. *It is great for road trips. We crammed 4 adults and a baby into it, loaded the cargo area and never even used the roof rack for a 2 day drive...we all had fun and I didn't cry when I tried to clean it out because it was easy to clean. (there is something kinda fun about taking this truck on a roadtrip, it makes you feel you can go anywhere) *It handles beautifully in all weather conditions, including floods. I have tested snow, rain (of biblical proportions), ice and floods with no problem. Some downsides: (yes, I know but I gotta be fair) *The plastic interior on the doors really does seem to scratch too easily. *The only thing I didn't like when I bought it was the fact that no sunroof option is offered. *You MUST make sure to get the rear sensor for backing up...all SUV's are dangerous due to their blind spots and the FJ's rear "sonar" alarm is a lifesaver. *The suicide doors are fun but beware people who cannot park and don't leave you much room. I have still managed to do ok regardless. *My final thing that is absolutely important to remember is the flat windshied isn't just annoying because it is some type of bug suicide zone (much worse than a traditional windshield) but you HAVE to watch for those annoying rocks that seem to come out of nowhere. The flat windshield makes it more likely to sustain damage instead of the rock glancing off. This windshield is NOT cheap to replace and the windshield repair companies are not all that experienced with this new vehicle either. My morning commute reminds me of a game of asteroid as I carefully scan for incoming rocks to avoid (Big trucks always seem to be hiding a few and dump trucks are the devils work!). Well, as you can see. I love my FJ. Just test drive one and you'll see for yourself..."

For those who do not need a full size SUV and want something different looking this is the vehicle. Also this is a truck frame vehicle not a uni-body as in a car. Really good power from the 4.0 liter six and with a gear shift for the transfer case instead of a switch. Ride is what you would expect from a truck, it's not bad at all not harsh, but not a sports car."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Green Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.909 (83 reviews) "I have owned about 20 vehicles in my life and this is BY FAR the best one. Toy's (Toyota's) are extremely dependable (only make we have owned for about 20 yrs), and the FJ is the best 4x4 I have ever owned. True highway gas mileage is about 18-20mpg with a 5 speed manual transmission. Plenty of space for my wife and myself to take a pretty fair amount of fishing gear and large cooler, tent, fold up chairs, surf rods, food, and dang near anything else you might need to spend a day at the coast. We go about 40-60 miles from paved road on a sand beach (4WD is needed on several stretches of this beach), and we take everything we need for the day. The Toy FJ is more than capable of handling this with room left over. Toy's are very dependable! I would not have bought six of them if i thought they were unreliable. Only drawback is the suicide doors for the back seat combined with limited leg room, but since we don't carry passengers very often it is not an issue with us. Those rear doors are handy for groceries or moving packages in/out of the back seat. As far as handling goes, it drives quite nicely. It is a truck mind you so don't expect the handling capability of a sports car, but then my FJ can go places a sports car can only dream about! With a roof rack, the wind noise is a tad high, but not nearly so noisy as a Hummer. I definitely recommend this vehicle for anyone contemplating buying a 4WD."

Transmission: Automatic Color: Silver Avg. Vehicle Review: 4.621 (83 reviews) "Overall I have been very pleased with my FJ, and it has clearly surpassed my expectations. For one, I have been getting an average of 20.5 mph with in town driving only, premium gas. Initially it was one of my main concerns, that this vehicle would deliver . My origal plan was to keep it as a second vehicle (my other one is a Lexus IS 300), but instead it has become my daily transportation. Torque is good in nearly all situations, and despite it's looks and off road concept, Toyota did an excellent job in creating a car that has some refinement and road manners at the same time.Sound system is nice. I feel this car can challenge any terrain in any circunstance sucessfully. For what you pay for, plus carrying Toyota reliability, it's a bargain in my opinion. But if you are going to use this car in heavy traffic regularly , and while being your only vehicle, also if you are going to have occupants in the back seat, it may not be your best bet. The car's off-road soul and simplistic cabin finish can get you wishing for something else dependending on your expectations.Front cabin space is abundant, but large drivers (250 lbs +)may find the seats too narrow. If you are wide build, the arm rests will also be too narrow for you . Once again, for what I need, and for what I paid for, I have been very satisfied with the FJ!"

I've been impressed with the locking hubs, suspension articulation and the feeling of positive control. Full use of passenger space is an interesting exercise. With 3 full sized adults in the back seat and my 6ft 4in frame at the controls, my extended family and I drove to Yosmite national park. Maybe it was the 3hrs there or the 5hr round trip in getting there, but suffice to say everyone unfolded rather than steped out of the FJ at the end of the day. Gas mileage is not a highlight. Rated at 17/20, with the addition of a cold air intake kit (NOT just a high-flow filter) my mileage is more like 19/24, with an average of street and traffic-y freeway at around 20. A solid investment that pays for itself. Other minor adjustments like polyurethane bushings to soften ride and evenout the rake to the bonnet compared to the boot, and all and all I really like my Toy!"

It has decent power and very easy to operate. It takes some getting used to when switching lanes because there is no window to look through when looking over shoulder. The front windshield is far away from the driver making the cabin very roomy, and on sunny days the sund does not hit the steering wheele making it very hot to the touch. This does affect the aerodynamics of the vehicle, but i dont know too many people that are going to take thier 4x4 to 100 mph."

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Sickstringslv - Las Vegas, NV 12/30/2012

This is my first Toyota and I now understand why there is such a strong reputation. This truck is really well designed and is very fun to drive. Some may have some sight line issues at first. I was able to get over it pretty quick. The ride is remarkably smooth for a truck and sails down the highway really nice! There is plenty of power when needed although if you fear the gas station this might not be your vehicle. Avg 17 mpg but I have been racing around a bit. It's hard not too!! The 5 spd auto trans shifts great. I have had a 6'-3" tall friend in the back seat for a long ride and all he talked about was how comfortable it was. The front seats are incredibly comfortable and the drivers has plenty of adjustment. Plenty of cargo space and access to it from the rear and sides. Love the stereo! Get the factory sub woofer in the back! Not all have it. This truck is very fun to drive, inexpensive to own (lic & ins) I would love to drive it around the planet none stop!

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Wanjurui02 - Germany 05/18/2012

I've had my Fj Cruiser for five years now. I've been tempted from time to time to trade it in for a smaller suv to acomadate the small spaces in Europe, however, i would be disappointed in myself as ive developed an attachment to my truck being an original owner when it first came out in 06 as a 07 model. the gas mileage does go up once the roof rack comes off. i get about 19/24 from it. i can pack as much gear in the back of it as any conventional truck. where ever i go i manage to get just enough in it to complete the weekend. i cam remember all the people who ever rode in its passenger seat on my travels. its sad when fj wanna be's give up and trade it in due to whatever reason. if you are a true blood owner you would go the distance with you machine. i've been many places with my fj and plan to go many more. i plan on many years of ownership. toyota did an awesome job putting this truck together, i would buy another one in the future if we are still around.

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Bobby - San Diego, Ca 11/04/2008

This was a fun car to drvie and I could see owning somehting this vehicle. It has a good feel to it and had great power. Good for going skiing, the beach or to the office. One draw back is the blind spots that do exist. However it size will keep everyone else away!
