I live in the Rockies and travel on twisty dirt mountain roads and highways in snowstorms & hailstorms and this SUV has never failed to get me to my destination. This SUV is ruggedly built and I love all the retro styling and easy cleaning inside. This vehicle is fund to drive and my dogs love riding in the Cruiser too.

Pure handling ease with major safety help when goig off road at high speeds.

2007 FJ Cruiser

My wife and I recently purchased this 2007 Cruiser and have been very pleased with the vehicle. For those who do not need a full size SUV and want something different looking this is the vehicle. Also this is a truck frame vehicle not a uni-body as in a car. Really good power from the 4.0 liter six and with a gear shift for the transfer case instead of a switch. Ride is what you would expect from a truck, it's not bad at all not harsh, but not a sports car.

2007 FJ Cruiser 2wd

This is my first Toyota and I now understand why there is such a strong reputation. This truck is really well designed and is very fun to drive. Some may have some sight line issues at first. I was able to get over it pretty quick. The ride is remarkably smooth for a truck and sails down the highway really nice! There is plenty of power when needed although if you fear the gas station this might not be your vehicle. Avg 17 mpg but I have been racing around a bit. It's hard not too!! The 5 spd auto trans shifts great. I have had a 6'-3" tall friend in the back seat for a long ride and all he talked about was how comfortable it was. The front seats are incredibly comfortable and the drivers has plenty of adjustment. Plenty of cargo space and access to it from the rear and sides. Love the stereo! Get the factory sub woofer in the back! Not all have it. This truck is very fun to drive, inexpensive to own (lic & ins) I would love to drive it around the planet none stop!

BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL FJ 40

It has modern comfortable appointments and just as capable off road as the original FJ40. All the complaints about visibility are true but if you know how to use mirrors and are a competent driver you won't have a problem. The so called expert reviewer that left a 1 star feedback forgets the visibility was limited in the original FJ and the ride much less comfortable than the evolved FJ. Very happy with my CARMAX purchases - got this FJ with less than 15k on it in 2014!
