FJ Cruiser

The FJ Cruiser is one of the most fun vehicles to drive. There are so many pros to this vehicle: superior sound (subwoofer), great off road (join a fj offroading club for the best experiences), definite head turner, and easy to clean the interior. The only cons to this vehicle are easily correctable, blindspot (get the little bubble mirrors for the side views and place them in the lower right corner...fixed), gas can get pricey especially if you like long road trips, and it is hard to clean the roof (I am 5'9 and had a hard time cleaning the roof with the rack.) Buy this car and you WILL love it, I kick myself in the butt everyday for trading mine in for something more gas friendly. I really hate I did that. But Gas is a key factor in todays economy and this car takes premium.

I have purchased previously owned 2010 Fj Cruiser 6months, ago. This vehicle has surpassed every expection with surprising innovative details. A heavy, sturdy vehicle NOT UNDERPOWERED when climbing hills in cruise control , excellent. If you are trading from a large SUV, the adjustment relaying on mirrors ( backseat blind spots ) is an easier task than a small car less depend on mirror usage. Roomy interior including AMPLE LEG ROOM and a dash is very well appointed with large nobs accessible with gloves, cold winter camping. The backseat is somewhat difficult to get in and out, not problem, I do not carry passengers. The doors open in opposite direction making it difficult for shopping cart to manage, a minor inconvenience for an awesome truck. This Fj Cruiser is best suited for my lifestyle, 18-20mpg, regular gas, 4x4 with rugged off roading capability as well around town, COMFORTABLE highway driving and unique stylish exterior. I am delight with my purchase of this vehicle with no issues or problem whatsoever. Way to go, ToyOta !

2010 FJ Cruiser

I have always liked the funky look of the FJ and when time came for another vehicle I decided to get one. The FJ is a very capable vehicle both on road and off road. I believe it is one of the best built Toyota models. They are all really made in Japan and one can tell. First thing I notice was that every major body part (doors, frame, etc..) is labeled with the vin number individually. This means the vehicle is put together as a whole and not with generic individual parts. One can tell the difference in the stiffness of the frame and how firmly the doors close. Makes for a solid ride. Speaking of which, even though the FJ is off road capable it rides much better than comparable vehicles like the Jeep wrangler. This is due to it's suspension; no leaf springs. The 2010 model (and up) has a 260 hp engine which is more than adequate. Older models have 230. It takes a little getting used to the driving position, but once I did, I loved it. I considered the 2 wd version, but I would suggest the 4wd to anyone buying one. I primarily use the 4 wd on the beach and have never had any trouble getting through soft sand to reach my favorite surf break. Another thing I like about the vehicle is that it is very customizable. Many aftermarket parts available (lights, interior stuff...) No, the FJ is not going to be as plush and drive like a grand cherokee, a lexus, or a sequoia (et al); but it's not meant for that. If you like a bit of ruggedness, like to handle almost any surface, and maintain a little interior comfort, The FJ just might be your answer.
