Customer Review Summary for 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser
2010 Toyota FJ CruiserBet - Waldorf, MD03/05/2012
The FJ Cruiser is one of the most fun vehicles to drive. There are so many pros to this vehicle: superior sound (subwoofer), great off road (join a fj offroading club for the best experiences), definite head turner, and easy to clean the interior. The only cons to this vehicle are easily correctable, blindspot (get the little bubble mirrors for the side views and place them in the lower right corner...fixed), gas can get pricey especially if you like long road trips, and it is hard to clean the roof (I am 5'9 and had a hard time cleaning the roof with the rack.)
Buy this car and you WILL love it, I kick myself in the butt everyday for trading mine in for something more gas friendly. I really hate I did that. But Gas is a key factor in todays economy and this car takes premium.
Great vehicle, on and off road

I am a rural appraiser, and will often have to drive 4 hours on the highway to a site that may require some real off-road capability from a vehicle. The FJ shines in both respects. I have the Trail Teams edition, which differs primarily due to the larger tires and Bilstein shocks. Even with the off-road tires, the FJ's highway manners are better than several SUVs that I have owned. Off-road capability is simply outstanding. I've driven through deep water, muddy swamps, and all manner of off-road conditions.
I find the seats and ergonomics to be just fine for long highway trips. Road noise is noticeable, but not obtrusive. It's a heavier vehicle, and I wouldn't call it nimble or quick, but the power is adequate.
The poor rear view is often discussed, but I've never found it to be a problem. If you are a taller driver, the relatively short windshield will force you to duck down to see traffic lights, though. I really like the fact that it has no carpet--it's made to get dirty.
I've put about 3,000 miles on it since purchase, and of the 20 or so vehicles I've owned, I have to say it's one of my favorites if not THE favorite. I highly recommend it.

This vehicle is my husbands favorite and he has always wanted one. When he saw one on a local dealers website, we decided to go take it for a test drive. He fell in love! We do a lot of off- roading and volunteer work with the off-road racing community so we needed something with good gas mileage and still able to get us out of sticky situations. It's got great storage and many, many extras that he can't wait to buy and put onto this vehicle. The back seat doesn't look like it has room to fit adult size people but it's actually quite comfortable. We had my in laws and 15 year old nephew in the back seat going to dinner and they said there was more leg room than they expected. The FJ Cruiser has been a great vehicle for our family and would recommend it to anyone looking for a vehicle to handle all the elements. Looking forward to taking it in the snow for the first time!
