I was nervous at first because it was my first car I ever bought new, but I am not disappointed! Everything about this car is perfect. There are blind spots but if you get little circle mirrors to put on your side mirrors it really helps. Also the back up camera is on the rear view mirror and that helps a lot. I got it with the JBL sound system and if you are younger or like your music loud then most def get that too.
Sporty with 4 door capacity and cargo space.
I purchased my 2013 FJ Cruiser about three months ago and so far I am very happy with my purchase. I had been searching for a SUV to handle the harsh winters in Northern IL and I settled upon the FJ because I wanted something different than the average SUV on the market. There are other models with better creature comforts and smoother ride, but I was willing to sacrifice both because I wanted a car that can handle almost anything and also stand out in a crowd. I can say I got both of those. The reviews I read complained about the blind spots due to the side rear pillars and while I agree this is not the norm, if you are an observant driver and use your mirrors, it is not really a problem. The truck is a blast to drive and I feel completely safe in it. My plan is to pass it on to my kids when they reach driving age in five years because I know they will be safe and I know it will last forever because it is a Toyota. Pros: Nice ride, comfortable seats, seats five, handles all sort of conditions (only driven in a huge rainstorm, but it handled it wonderfully), great curb appeal, solid car with few items to break, sits high on the road with ample ground clearance. Cons: poor MPG (15-16), wide turn radius, no backseat A/C, radio display is hard to read in sunlight.
