Great ride, easy to handle, can do anything with it, requires very little maintenance. No driving surface or terrain is off-limits to me. Very comfortable ride, great sound system. Plus, it's just a gorgeous design - great to look at!
Overall I have been very pleased with my FJ, and it has clearly surpassed my expectations. For one, I have been getting an average of 20.5 mph with in town driving only, premium gas. Initially it was one of my main concerns, that this vehicle would deliver . My origal plan was to keep it as a second vehicle (my other one is a Lexus IS 300), but instead it has become my daily transportation. Torque is good in nearly all situations, and despite it's looks and off road concept, Toyota did an excellent job in creating a car that has some refinement and road manners at the same time.Sound system is nice. I feel this car can challenge any terrain in any circunstance sucessfully. For what you pay for, plus carrying Toyota reliability, it's a bargain in my opinion. But if you are going to use this car in heavy traffic regularly , and while being your only vehicle, also if you are going to have occupants in the back seat, it may not be your best bet. The car's off-road soul and simplistic cabin finish can get you wishing for something else dependending on your expectations.Front cabin space is abundant, but large drivers (250 lbs +)may find the seats too narrow. If you are wide build, the arm rests will also be too narrow for you . Once again, for what I need, and for what I paid for, I have been very satisfied with the FJ!
This SUV will take you anywhere and in any type of weather. I live in the Rockies and travel on twisty dirt mountain roads and highways in snowstorms & hailstorms and this SUV has never failed to get me to my destination. This SUV is ruggedly built and I love all the retro styling and easy cleaning inside. This vehicle is fund to drive and my dogs love riding in the Cruiser too.
