Customer Review Summary for 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
2010 Toyota Highlander HybridHybridGuy - Fairfax Station, VA09/20/2010
This is a very well put together and smooth-running car. I also own a Toyota Prius, and I am impressed with the application of the hybrid technology. Although the Highlander's gas mileage isn't spectacular, like the Prius, it is still nice to get over 23 mpg on a car this size. The ride is smooth and quieter than I expected. The seats are comfortable, and most importantly, my wife loves it.

The car is nice but the mileage is just OK. We were expecting a bigger return on gas savings then we are currently seeing. We've adjusted driving habits to try and maximize fuel effieciency utilizing the hybrid technologies and it has helped. Just not to the extent we anticipated. I get consistently less mileage than what it is supposed to get but it is still better than a standard SUV. We paid almost an additional 10K USD more for the hybrid than for the comprable gas-only model. In hindsight the case for saving money on fuel versus the standard gas-only model doesnt work.
The car is comfortable and reliable, like most other Toyotas. I wish it had more storage space behind the third row when it's being used.
