I have owned two Highlanders and have been extremely pleased with each vehicle. The ride is smooth and the car is reliable. Not a lot of maintenance is required.
2006 Highlander Review
2006 Toyota HighlanderNCTrekker - Raleigh Area, North Carolina04/28/2009
The Highlander is an excellent vehicle for my line of work, real estate appraisal, as well as my hobby, visiting all 39 state parks in North Carolina. It has rack space for my kayak and plenty of interior space for camping gear and a companion or two. The gas mileage is not too bad for an SUV (23 - 28 mpg per my calculations)but it could be better for those long trips to the beach or mountains. The engine performs well getting on the freeway or off the road. I would recommend the Highlander to my trekking friends.
Highlander - Super Great
2006 Toyota HighlanderDJ Duvall - Bakersfield, CA01/01/2017
I have had 3 Toyota trucks over the years. Never had any trouble with any of them. Easy to drive stick and/or automatic, gas mileage was great. This time I decided to go with a CUV which is a cross-over from a car and SUV. Had to get used to the color which is Sunfire (redish). Never realized how many red vehicles there were out there until I got mine. It handles so easy. I love it. Couldn't be happier.
