Customer Review Summary for 2010 Toyota Highlander
2010 Toyota HighlanderScott Broam - Lexington, SC09/02/2016
This is a great vehicle that suits our needs well. The 4 cylinder coupled with the 6 speed transmission has been peppy, fairly frugal, roomy, yet capable of towing. We're getting an average of 22-24 which is good, but we have yet to see 27 mpg EPA hwy rating. This one has the tow prep package (rated to 3,500#) - we haven't pulled that, but with a load of 6 passengers + trailer (about 1,000#) it handled a long steep grade into the NC mountains acceptably. Note that the 2nd seat in the middle row is not for a full sized person and when you have the 3rd seat up, there is very little storage - but, 6 adults can be comfortable - 4 with ample storage. It's not a minivan (we have one) but can step up to people hauler duty. Sturdy roof rack.
Not a bad replacement for my GX470

The SUV is very nice considering it is replacing the LEXUS GX 470 which was totaled .
I had to get used to the new way to lock/unlock and no key for the ingition but that is not an issue now. The backup camera is ok, but he distortion is sometimes confusing. I did not get nor have I been able to purchase an operating manual and I cannot change the clock????
If the mileage display is correct I am disappointed in the mileage I'm getting. It's registering 14.4 mpg. which is not what was stated. Good thing I will ony put about 3000 miles a yr. on this car.
It will be useful when I pick up my family of 5 from the airport.
Wonderful Auto in General

This is my third Highlander. I bought the first one brand new, and it had over 350,000 miles and still going strong when I sold it. You can't go wrong with a Highlander.
Toyota builds nearly every type of car for every kind of driver, and used models are highly sought after, thanks to their reputation. Whether you’re looking for a used sedan, SUV, pickup truck, minivan, sports car, or fuel-efficient hybrid, there’s almost certainly a Toyota out there for you.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
