This is the one,. The only downside is the dashboard is extremely basic and boring. Typical toyota,if they improved some the styling this vehicle would be the best thing ever.

Perfect SUV

Handles great, all dashboard controls simple and well layed out. Lots of storage space. Good looking.

Highlander Limited

I ordered the Highlander Limited before the disasters in Japan, but it wasn't scheduled to arrive until after the tragedies. Even though the car was made in the US, I was afraid after hearing the news reports that the car I had been so anxiously waiting to start driving might be delayed. It arrived from Toyota as promised from the US factory. I have owned at least 25 vehicles, I honestly am appreciating this one more than any others. I have had it for 2 months and it still feels as great as like when I drove off the lot the first day. Everyone complements my Limited, and I just smile because this vehicle is impressive to look at and then you get in and all you can say is "WOW". This is a purchase that I would repeat a hundred times.

2011 Highlander SE

Have had the SUV since 9 Jan 2011. Get excellent mileage and its getting better as its gets more miles. Really like the mileage info on the dash screen where the backup camera view also appears. Also the daytime running lights and the automatic light shutoff after you get out of the car. I am 6' 3", so the legroom in the front was of primary consideration. I also am comfortable sitting in the back seat, provided the driver does not have the seat all the way back. It is a very quiet vehicle with less road/wind noise than my previous auto. My wife likes the power lift gate. One minor thing. I had a 2005 Honda Pilot and I find that I can only put 1 golf bag side to side as the wheel wells protrude into the luggage compartment. My wife and I almost always have 2 sets of clubs in the car during the golf season. We are seniors and are delighted with the XM radio option that came with the car as we now listen to all kinds of music particularly 50's & 60's. Admittedly, the $13 per month price tag is not something everyone wants to pay, but since we now travel quite a bit, it is nice not to have to search for radio stations or put up with endless commercials and there is always the wx, traffic, and news channels available. I found a comparable Ford Explorer with the standard equipment included on this car would have cost me a few thousand more. I also like the fact the car was built in Indiana. I still want to support our workers, but the bottom line is the total cost. The best Toyota I've owned.
