2010 Toyota MatrixSally - Park Forest, IL04/01/2015
I would recommend it with reservations. I recently drove a Ford Escape while my little buddy was in the hospital after an accident. It was a much bigger car and less fun to drive, but got equal mileage on my commute. I think a better transmission would make this car perfect for me.
2004 Toyota MatrixCher Bear - Riverside, CA01/26/2007
The front seats are very comfortable. The back seats are so-so on comfort. It has a very roomy interior for a small car. Easy to manuever. And, of course, great gas mileage. Sits higher than a Corolla, so it's easier to get in and out of. A smooth ride for a small car. I love it.

After buying the car at first we were happy with it.
About 2 weeks after buying the car we started having problems with the transmission.
We took it back to the dealer and they replaced the whole clutch system.
Then after we picked it up out of the shop about 1 week later we found that it was very hard to start the car because you have to press the clutch down all the way to the floor to start the car.
After driving the car for about another week it was hard to start out in first gear and when you shirt from 1st to 2nd gear it is fine.and so on.
So far it has been very disapointing because the problem is still not fixed.
Other than that the car is great it could use a few more horses under the hood cause i think it lacks in that area but i guess i have to remember its not a 68 firebird with a 400 bigblock LOL.
