The dashboard indicators have taught me how to drive efficiently, so now I no longer have to look at them, and now I am driving my other car more efficiently too. It's not the most powerful car on the road, but I'm averaging 55 mpg, and it can accelerate when needed. I love that it charges the battery when decelerating and breaking, and that the engine automatically cuts off when it is not needed.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.462 reviews) In the past, the Prius was never a car I gravitated towards. I thought it would be too uncomfortable, require too many sacrifices in the name of fuel economy. However, after sustained high gas prices, I finally took one for a spin. As the salesperson told me before the test drive, the Prius is a love it or hate it proposition - with nothing in between. Fortunately for me, I loved it. I found it to be much more enjoyable to drive than the camry hybrid I initally was looking at. I found the car comfortable enough to trade in my previous daily driver, a Lexus RX SUV, for it. I have not been disappointed with my decision. I have owned many cars, and the ergonomics of the Prius are second to none. Every control is where it is needed, with many on the steering wheel. I love the audio system and the bluetooth, and the seats are much more comfortable than I ever expected. Similarly, the ride is quite decent and noise is fairly low, due in no doubt to it low drag coefficient. I also can't get over how roomy the car is. It feels much larger and airier than the Camry Hybrid, which was too cramped for me after coming from an SUV. The best part of the car is the MPGs. I have gotten as high as 68 MPG on a few mile city trip, and have consistently averaged 50+ MPGs - nothing short of miraculous considering I was getting 16.5 MPG week in, week out in my Lexus. If you've been on the fence about a Prius, do yourself a favor and test drive one. All things considered, I'm glad I waited for the 2012 model, as I like its revised design better than past Prii. As I said in the title, to own one is to love one. Just keep this in mind: There are many camry buyers who have traded in their cars for something else and never bought another Camry again. I have never met a Prius buyer who replaced his car with anything except a newer Prius. We're already talking about getting a Prius V (larger wagon Prius) for my wife.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.462 reviews) Love this car, it really grows on you. At first, it was hard to actually drive the car, since the acceleration is low and in some other ways it drives differently than other cars. But over time, the car really grows on you. Of course the gas mileage is great (on the highway I get above 50, in the city anywhere from 40-45), but it is actually pretty comfortable and very roomy inside. Great car, what else is there to say.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.462 reviews) I owned a hand-me-down 2005 Prius (first generation) for years and never had any problems with it. Shame on me for not doing sufficient research into the differences between the first and second generation Prii. It is a COMPLETELY different car. Do EXTENSIVE test drives with this car on several types of surfaces. The visibility in this car is so bad it feels unsafe: major blindspots. Virtually non-existent suspension; hits every bump like it was a pothole. Rattles like crazy, especially on rough road and at high speeds. Cheap plastic interior components. Poor turning radius. Deafening road noise. Worst of all, it gets nowhere near the gas mileage they claim; I have never gotten more than 40/45 miles on the highway, and never broken 30 city.

Feels like a luxury car.

It gets great gas mileage, is very comfortable and roomy,

Love this car!

Love this car. It drives smooth and fantastic on gas. Going from $65.00 a week in gas in my old car to $18.00 average is a real plus. Love Sirius radio too. Only thing I don't care for is the nav system. Hard to see streets in white lettering against grey background. Not easy to use either.

Best. Car. Ever.

No other car delivers MPG and comfort like a Prius (for the price).
