I really like this vehicle! Thanks to high gas prices, I went from a GMC Yukon to a Toyota Rav-4. I have been extremely pleased and I will drive this vehicle for many years. When downsizing, of course, you compromise some space for more MPG. This is a very comfortable vehicle, and it gets easily 18MPG city and 26MPG highway, driving at "normal" speeds. The cargo area is "flat" so there is no crawling into, or out of, a conventional trunk. I like the additional personal storage area above the glove compartment; small items can easily be retrieved, but also stored completely out of view. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone whose physical size is compatible with the overall dimensions of this vehicle. Do not rely on photos to base your opinion that this car might be too small. You must personally view this car to truly appreciate its great value and amenities.

My Rav4 has so much storage space which is perfect for transporting my large canvass for work. I love that the spare wheel is outside so that it makes room for storage nooks under the floor. I often fold up a compartment to carry groceries so they don't tumble about and yesterday it held a tall plant in place. The Rav4 also drives like a small car and gets great gas mileages as well!

It's a good size, not too big not too small. It also rides "high"...one does not have to bend down to get in and climb out. Toyota is very reliable, my last one had well over 200,000 miles. Also not a lot of electrically powered doo-dads inside..electric windows and door locks only. It comes with tinted windows though I may add more tinting to the driver door window. A big plus are the two concealed / hidden storage compartment in the back under the floor board. And finally, I like the side opening rear door.
