I love this SUV! It is spacious enough for my family when they visit, trips to wholesale clubs with my two kids or vacation. It drives and handles EXTREMELY well! The vehicle is large, but it is easy to maneuver. I would recommend to anyone looking for a full size SUV. We love it!
2011 Toyota Sequoia Tow Capability
2011 Toyota Sequoiaumdterpfan - Laurel, MD11/10/2011
We upgraded from a crossover to the Sequoia to get more towing capability. We have had the Sequoia for almost 2 months and have towed twice with it. We are currently pulling a ~ 7,000 lb (loaded for camping weight) 30 ft travel trailer. In this admittedly limited experience, the Sequoia has performed very well, even though we are up against the revised recommended max trailer weight. Handling, stability, acceleration, and braking while towing are great. Gas mileage while towing was around 10 mpg. The integrated hitch receiver with both 4 and 7 pin connectors and a brake controller pre-wire under the dash are very convenient and functional. As a general, around the town vehicle, the Sequoia is equally impressive providing a spacious cabin, fold flat third row, adequate payload capacity, etc.
Toyota builds nearly every type of car for every kind of driver, and used models are highly sought after, thanks to their reputation. Whether you’re looking for a used sedan, SUV, pickup truck, minivan, sports car, or fuel-efficient hybrid, there’s almost certainly a Toyota out there for you.
They’re big. They’re bold. They’re kinda in your face. Tall pickup trucks and SUVs have the kind of ride height that gets you over, through, and around the kind of rough terrain which stops other vehicles in their tracks. If you live in a place with lots of snow, mud, or uneven ground, ride height (defined as the distance between the bottom of your truck’s tires and the lowest point on the underside) is probably more important to you than road-hugging and handling characteristics and strong fuel efficiency.
