Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Gray Average Vehicle Review: (4.733 reviews) The 2012 Toyota Sienna XLE (with Navigation package) is a great minivan. It has plenty of room and plenty of bells and whistles; all the things that all of the other reviews talk about. However, it does have its flaws. First, it's wide. Wide is great for more room but terrible to get in the garage. Our standard sized, 2 door garage has about half an inch on both sides at the door. This means there is a steep learning curve when learning to park it in either a garage or a parking spot. Second, It gets 18 miles per gallon around town (18 is what we observed, not just what the sticker says). This makes it painful to fill up its very large fuel tank. Finally, the transmission is geared on the high side. This means that when fully loaded, it has enough power to get off the line. It also means that first gear doesn't have a lot of pep when driving around with just the kids. You wind up going slow when the traffic light turns green or burning a lot of gas until it gets to 2nd or higher gears. In summary, a great car. But like any car, it has its drawback. Yes, I WOULD buy this car again if I knew then what I knew now. In summary, a great car. But like any car, it has its drawback. Yes, I WOULD buy this car again if I knew then what I knew now.

Third Toyota van.

This is my third Toyota van all purchased new. We traded in a Sienna XLE 2005 V6 and we are enjoying the changes 2005 vs 20012. We have had the van now for 13 months. The electronic PS is flawless. The accelleration is an improvement and the engine is very quiet. The seats are very comfortable and the ride is smooth. The front windshield configuration is better. Headlights are much birighter. We have taken one long cross-country trip and we were relaxed when we got to our destonation. This time we did not even consider Oddessy. MPG = 19 in town highway 24. Love it and couldn't be happier.

It's a great car - some things could be better.

Love my Sienna Limited. Maybe I've just been driving older cars too long, but I really love the auto-bright/dim headlights and auto wipers. I also like that the automatic sliding doors and auto-open rear compartment. Love, love, love that that second row windows actually go down. There have built-in sunshades, but I find that they're not very effective. Love the power stowing rear seats; this gives lots of cargo room. I really wanted a DVD player for the children. The problem is that with the way it's mounted in the center, it is a major block to using the rear-view mirror. I've also found that the remote for the DVD cannot be used from the driving position, which is a little frustrating. I have to get into the back seat with the kids to operate the DVD player. At first this Sienna seemed way too large compared to my previous one. But, I've gotten used to driving it and it doesn't seem to be such a lumbering giant. It drives great and is very responsive. What I don't like is all of the road noise -- but no way to get around it. Another drawback is that although there is a driver's foot rest, there is not quite enough leg room. I'm only 5'7" and I usually feel like my left leg is cramped a bit. Gas mileage is acceptable, but not great. Lots of airbags for safety, which I like. Tons of cup holders which I originally thought was overkill, but I've actually wound up using more of them than I thought -- not necessarily for cups, but still helpful to have. Overall, glad I bought it.
