I purchased my second Sienna XLE from CarMax because of the great selection and value. I am disabled, and the super adjustable and comfortable seats are critical for my mobility. I bought it sight unseen from the web site and had it transferred to my local dealer. This year's model included heated seats and an automatic rear hatch. I have more buttons than I know how to use!! Also, the previous owner had installed a premium sound system, allowing me to add a back-up camera and GPS. I simply ADORE this car. And best of all, it had less than 10,000 miles on the engine when I bought it, and it was 4 years old; so, the value was unbeatable. I highly recommend this van. It has the most comfortable seats and the best transmission in its class. Since I climb the Grapevine to Bakersfield regularly, that's very important to me. It takes the hill with such ease you can hardly tell you're climbing. Great car, all around!
Great Minivan for family. Lot of amenities and excellent performance. The 266-HP V6 is smooth. Rides like a car with lots of room. Dual power sliding doors are a nice worthwhile add-on.
Our beloved Acura MDX bit the dust after a bad encounter with Jiffy Lube, and it was pointed out to me that for our space requirements and budget limitations we could afford much more in the minivan department. I looked at a few, researched the models and years on Consumer Reports at the library, and we selected an '08 Sienna. It just seemed to really prove itself in Consumer Reports tests. For being a minivan hater, I can't deny that this vehicle is so convenient. It fits our family very well, which will soon include a baby in an infant seat, a toddler in a convertible car seat and a ten year old. We are constantly hauling equipment around for our business as well as friends young and old. All fit nicely. Things I appreciate: --an engine that works well and I know will be reliable. Same with all of the other major systems. Safety & reliability are really why we bought this thing. --a million drink holders all over the place --audio thing to plug in my ipod music to the car audio system --seats are comfortable and adjustable for our bad backs and the car seats fit well. The anchors have been easy to use for our car seats --back windows that go up and down --third row seat splits so you can have one side down if you want; third row seats are really easy to tuck away and put back up --charger in backseat for all of our ipod-type devices --tons of space --one of the side doors can open automatically with keychain clicker Things I'm not so fond of: --it's not sexy. But it's a minivan. I don't think it's possible for minivans to be sexy. --the engine runs a little louder than our Acura MDX. I think we were just spoiled having a luxury SUV --We're tall and when we look in the rear view mirror, part of our view is blocked by a little thing that comes down from the ceiling that shows the temp, MPG, etc. The features of the thing are helpful, but I don't like that it blocks part of my view. The car testers/designers must have been short...
