2008 Toyota SolaraConvertoyota - Charlotte, NC04/20/2012
2008 Solara Convertible. Last year made by Toyota. This is one convertible that will surprise most people. It's as quiet with the top up as most hard-tops. With the top down and the windows up, it's a smooth and really pleasant ride.
Toyota quality is all over this car. Our search was for a convertible and with the Toyota brand, we know it will do well for us for many years to come.
One thing that people must realize, though, about the car; there is a bit of a magnified shake in the body of the car in certain situations. Everyone from Car and Driver Magazine to personal reviews note this effect. It's the result of not having the hard top to add structure to the frame. But we have quickly learned to ignore that as a natural character of the vehicle.
One thing we've noticed as well since buying the car is that people who buy one don't ever seem to get rid of them like with other cars. They buy them and keep them for many years. Again, that's part Toyota quality, and part pleasure of ownership.
Highly recommended car!

Great car, esp. in terms of reliability & cost to operate. Very attractive car, with stable wheel base & most comfortable, with it's size. Plenty of interior room.

2008 Toyota Solara convertible was in excellent condition with less than 8,000 miles. This car looks and performs just like a new auto. Loaded with most options and has power everything. I do not know why Toyota discontinued this model after 2008 as it is a very well made and attractive car.
Thw Solara has front wheel drive and a 3.3 V-6 engine with good power. It is very quiet and confortable for two passengers.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
