Customer Review Summary for Toyota Solara
Convertible of My Dreams
2005 Toyota SolaraMiddle Aged Crazy - Austin, TX04/30/2008
This car looks and performs marvelously. The top goes up and down in seconds; you don't need to be a double amputee to ride comfortably in the back seat; gas mileage is good, and I personally like the fact that it has both a CD player AND a cassette player.
Such a great car I bought a second one!
2007 Toyota SolaraLinda G - Spartanburg, SC04/29/2015
This is the 2nd Solara I have owned. The first was a 2000. Sold it at 266000 miles but it was still going strong. Very little repairs needed the entire time I owned it. I expect this one to be just as great. Love the look, power and reliability. Climate system is great along with sound and comfortable leather seats. Lots of compliments on Blue Streak color!
2008 Toyota SolaraJedidiah - Virginia08/11/2012
Long term Toyota fan, though without any convertibles in current production I shopped all the brands. Considering size, features and Toyota quality/reliability I found myself strongly considering a Solara. The Lexus models were just too expensive, just like the Infinity. Miata, fun but small and I've had one of those....Struck gold in finding a 2008 Solara SLE with less than 6000 miles. Very well appointed, nice driver, handles well, the 3.3 liter is reasonably peppy and not too thirsty. Love the passenger area, front passengers have excellent space and the rear is comfortable for adults, not just children. The trunk is huge so no problem taking a trip with this car, it's Camry size so plenty of room. We have a 2010 Camry SE and the Solara is very similar. I also have a 2011 Tacoma and wish the Solara had the Tacoma 4.0 liter. No complaints with this car, though oddly the rear windows can't be opened by themselves. The leather is nice and the seat heaters will be appreciated in the Fall and Winter.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
