I would recommend this car to anyone who drives long distances on a regular basis. The Yaris gets great gas mileage on the highway. With one tank of gas I can drive around 400 miles. However, in the city the gas mileage is not so great. I was only able to get a little over 300 miles before I had to refill. I have a manual transmission and it is very smooth when shifting. I find that first gear is difficult. Once you are up to about 10/mph you have to switch to 2nd gear which is frustrating when you are going over several speed bumps. And slow speeds, such as school zones, are difficult to stay at. But that could be my driving skills, I don't know but I didn't have that issue with my last stick shift. Overall, I love this car.
Perfect Car for a short person

This car has a fantastic turn radius. I can zip in anywhere I want. I am a shorter person and feel like I actually fit in it without it swallowing me up. It is very short and I can actually see out all the windows and back glass without a problem. It is wonderful.

Been averaging exactly 40.11 MPG with 87 Octane. Commute 112 miles per day roundtrip. Love this car. Tried burning 93 Octane to see if it would increase gas mileage, it did not.
