It's amazingly comfortable for long road trips, at 6'5" I still have plenty of room and a child seat can still fit behind me. The seats are amazing and I have no issues for hours behind the wheel, the seat heaters are great and go all the way up the backrest unlike most Japanese and American cars that just do the seat bottom. Interior quality is seriously Audi quality, light years ahead of others in this class. The best thing by far about the GTI though is the power and handling... this engine is massively underrated by VW, actual power figures verified by me taking a trip to the dyno put this car at around 250HP and 280TQ. at the crank.

While the concept is great, the work force is even better! The missing link to all this is the cars themselves. Both turned out to be complete lemons. Great idea, great people, poor product.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.786 reviews) Incredibly good handling, nice high rev power with the turbos, and surprisingly good fuel economy over long trips (34 mpg). I rent many "premium" vehicles as part of my job - I always love getting back in my 2014 GLI. The MK6 frame is very well balanced and the 2.0L turbo is perfectly matched in regards to power:weight ratio. The GLI is not trying to be a muscle car - but you will absolutely go through front tires every 10k if you buy a soft compound and drive aggressively.

Good car, wonderful MPG!

Ok, let me first say that this is coming from someone that had a 06 Passat VR6, I loved that car, especially the power that the engine had, my major complaint with my car was that the premium fuel was expensive and repairs were killing me. The new Passat is a world of difference, quiet ride, better seats, better handling, better radio, and I am still finding nice little touches that make me absolutely love the car. There are things that I have found on cars much more expensive and what I find makes me glad I brought the car. The radio programming needs some help, there is no excuse for it to be as slow as it is but it is not slow enough for me to want to get rid of the car. I love it!!!!

VW with an afterburner

Fantastic performance and fuel economy in a car with plenty of room for 4 people. That 1.8 TSI Engine is awesome. I just drove a rental model back from Reno and in 205 miles averaging 77mph it got 41.4MPG according to the computer. Driving the car for over 500 miles in a week I have used 35 bucks worth of gas. Thats 1/4 of a 14.5 gallon tank to drive over 200 miles. Thats just mind boggling. Do the math. Its rare to have a car that exceeds the predicted MPG, while driving at 80 + with your foot in it.

- R Ewing, 2015 Volkswagen Jetta

Terrible structural rigidity produced squeaks.

Shoddy construction of handles, switches etc. Extremely poor electronics: slow and delayed response to GPS input and radio station changes. Worst radio I've ever used. Headlights and tail lights are antiquated halogen technology and very dull putting out too little light. Car had an excellent engine, but the car around it... Poor. I would not buy another Volkswagen nor would I recommend one based on my experience. I traded it in within 6 months.
