Reviews for Volkswagen Convertibles
Not safe for shorter people!
I always loved the Bettle retro design and the quality of VW interior. I drove golf and passat station wagon for the last 15 years. So I went for the Beetle this time. I am greatly disappointed! If you are short and with small feet (61/2, not that small!) you will have hard time adjusting to the break and gas pedals. Shifting to break takes longer, as the break is further to the left and is very high comparing to the gas pedal. Since I am 5'3" i struggle to have comfortable position in a deep seat, and reach to pedals in the same time. I have to drive with the pillow behind my back!! And I don't see well out of the car! Review mirrors are designed to be pretty but they are too big and they blocked my view on several occasions.
Like new car for great price...
Multiple reasons - get a luxury vehicle at a discount, with VW style, safety and long-lasting quality! Love the moon roof in winter - still get sunshine when it's available or can watch the rain and snow. Give me a bit of the wide open feeling of convertible when weather doesn't permit. The convertible is great - a bit disconcerting how many moving parts there are but with warranty feel confident -- and car buffs love it! Like a Transformer!
Our dream VW BUG or a VIRUS ??
We have owned this vehicle for a little more than 4 months. We already are having problems with it. I was stranded on the freeway. We are glad that we bought the 'Max Care warranty'; but still are very, very concerned about the reliability of it. So far the local VW dealer has diagnosed the problem as a fuel pump and sensor issue, but it keeps stalling and still at the dealer. We bought this car for emotional reasons. I got my drivers license in a VW BUG and we started dating in the same car. We really want to fall in love with this vehicle again, but wondering if this BUG has a permanent Virus!! The rating on this car would be a 2.5 out of 5 stars!!
