Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.56 reviews) I love my new Beetle. It is bright red and gets a lot of attention. It's nice to really DRIVE a car after having a Ford for so long. I wish I had bought this car sooner. The gas mileage is very decent, in the low 20's. I got 300 miles on one tank. The car is really spacious, because the back seats come down, so I can plop my bike in the back, no problem. At first, I thought something was wrong with the car because of the strange noises, but I realized the sunroof was not exactly "aerodynamic". This is a 2012 and Im not sure the sunroof even working 100% at this point! In terms of repairs and such, I have no comment because I havent had it long enough. There isnt much I would change on the car. The pleather seats are probably durable, but when it's very hot here, you'll burn your tush to bits. The key is ridiculous and bulky.

2012 VW Beetle Turbo 2.0T

I a repeat VW Beetle owner and can't believe the huge difference in tme 2000 GLS and the 2012 Turbo 2.0T. Both cars are like comparing night and day. The third generation Beetle is a overall better car. It best the previous generation by leaps and bounds. Unlike the previous generation, the A5 second generation carries more styling cue as the originial. A lot of people have posted on numerous media outlets how the A5 doesn't look like a Beetle, true entusiast will disagree. I grew up with the first generation Beetle being my favorite car. When I first saw the A5 second generation, I knew that I had to own one. I'm 6'4" and I have plenty of head, leg, and shoulder room. The performance is unbelieveable. You can't go wrong with this car. The fact that I had a great Car-Max buying experience, adds to the pleasure of owning this car. The Laurel Maryland store was outstanding. I will recommend Jim and Paul to anyone in the market for a car.

2012 VW Beetle for the win.

I researched five cars for my planned purchase based on fuel economy, turn radius (life in the big city), crash test rating, resale value and overall ratings from a number of automotive publications. In the end, it was a tie between the much-lauded Honda Element and the 2012 VW Beetle. I popped the hood on the Element and nosed all around the wide-open cargo spaces, inspected the body, listened to the engine, etc. But I could not commit to it. I found myself wandering over to the Beetle. While the cargo space is far less and the asking price was a little more, I couldn't say no to the situation; one previous owner who lived in Utah (read: no rust) and had leased the car (leasers tend to be a little more careful) plus I had the entire vehicle history in my hands. Honestly, I couldn't have gotten a better deal if I'd paid a dollar for a dune buggy from Willie Nelson. The Beetle is a quiet, super efficient, ergonomic symphony. My sole complaint is the size of the glovebox, but if that's my only gripe I must be living well.
